Thanks Tenina for a fun, informative evening. Can't use facebook so I'm posting here. Not only did we tuck into some unusual but tasty soups (it was certainly the weather for it-thunder storm) we watched Tenina make them.
Tenina I really felt the evening showed us some new things we can use the TMX for, with the machine itself not being the centre of attention as it is in Back to Basics. You understood that we could all use the machine so just got on with sharing your expertise and great thoughts with us.
I'm planning to try a couple of the things this weekend and take them away with me.

Lovely to see you CP and to meet Bedlam and Jeninwa. Hope you got home ok Bedlam.

THANKS AGAIN TENINA. :-* :-* :-* I can't wait for the next one.
Thanks Cookie, I had a blast…even though I was a bit under the weather….woke up with the flu today. Very excited about the prospects moving forward! Watch this space….enjoy the recipes. :D

Cookie, my girls are still giggling about you and I meeting, you enquiring if I was Bedlam and me replying cookie! We all had a great night, definitely worth the drive ( thank goodness the worst of the weather had passed for the drive home). Nice to meet CP63 and jeninwa also. I must admit I feel like a Thermomix addict. Really looking forward to Teninas next class.

More details girls.  How many were in the class, did you all stand around the table watching tenina or sit in orderly fashion like at back to back cooking classes.  Did she do all the cooking herself or did she have helpers.  How long did the lesson last and was it all stuff you had not seen or tasted before? Did you get copies of the recipes? Was the phrase 'forum thermomix' used to gauge how many people were there from our forum  - it never ever was at any cooking class I attended that H.O. had arranged. I was always tempted to jump up and ask for a show of hands from those who were our members but me being a little meek and mild person (truly  ;)), I was never game to.

Judy, I think perhaps 20 or so people attended. We sat behind a table but Had the opportunity to help if we wanted, it was very interactive and entertaining. Cookie introduced me to CP. We got a lovely pack with all the recipes in a booklet as well as some samples and then tasted everything at the end. I have only been to one basics class, the flour one. Much prefered teninas although it was quite a few more dollars.

Yes thanks fundj, I eventually found them.  I didn't recognise anyone although there must be some forum people amongst those pictures.

Bedlam is next to CP63, with her 2 lovely daughters beside her. Jeninwa was behind CP and I. DD showed me how to look at it, bless her. :-*
Judy, even though we all sat and watched Tenina it didn't have any of the formality of a B2B class. You felt quite free to yell out questions.

Bedlam I can understand your daughters chuckling. My DD thinks it's all a bit of a laugh too. I just tell her that people over 35 can use forums too. She enjoys all the food ideas I get from it.

Tenina I hope you're beginning to feel better.  :-* :-*

Hey there, I think I should have mentioned the forum, but not sure that I did, but I certainly will in the future…I know where my friends can be found, that is for sure! hahaha, I AM feeling much better thank you, and on and upwards, planning the next menu, even tho I have Melbourne and another class in Perth coming up with Souper Bowl theme. I like to be a bit informal and will certainly keep it that way in the future. My thought is to use foodie/kitchen ware shops or appliance centres as venues as I go along. Its getting the balance right. I had great feedback from everyone on the night with lots of ideas as to the future, and I will certainly be taking all feedback on board. I will ALWAYS supply the recipes for the classes as I think that is a no brainer, though I would appreciate them remaining off other sites until the classes using those same recipes are over with. I plan on doing maybe 4-6 menus per year so that there is plenty of reasons to come back….while I get my book ready! Yes, book deal in the making…so exciting times ahead.
CanI just say, I have never met a nicer bunch of people, and I know that as I get around the country, the story will be the same. Melbourne is booking fast…so dont delay, Wednesday 17th August at 7pm and Thursday 18th August at 11am at the Carmelite Centre 216 Richardson St Middle Park.
You can book at bookings@cookingwithtenina.com $60 per ticket which includes a goodie folder, all recipes and some samples…PLUS lots of fun and info. Talk soon! :D
