Playdough Recipe in "Everyday Cooking"
The recipe in the book is so easy and produced playdough with an incredibly smooth texture. The batch size was fine for my kids, but I needed to make 3 lots for our playgroup. This wasn't a problem though. I also added the colouring with the flour so I didn't have to knead it in afterwards.
Happy cooking,

I found that 20g oil was too much and next time I'll try 15g.
I have a pic up at my blog:
http://failsafethermomix.blogspot.com/2009/05/play-dough.html
- it is of two batches.

The added bonus is that DW will be pleased too and can say 'look at him, look at him'

Hi Everyone,
Great photo! It must be time I made another batch of playdough. Hope everyone is well, we haven't dropped off the planet, just been busy. We've also been FAILSAFE for 3 weeks so haven't been doing anything adventurous. Thank goodness for the TM31 or I would have gone balmy with all the extra cooking. I'm off to check out Ralo's blog.

Hi Brazen,
All is well. We're now up to doing some challenges on the diet. It hasn't been the miracle cure for some of the challenging behaviours that I was hoping for, however, it has helped me! I'm feeling a lot more calmer. A failsafe thread would be great. I could let the other failsafers know about it too. I'm a techno gumby and have no idea how to start these things.
Thanks,
Karen

LOL I was thinking all these 'failsafe recipes' were for people like me who wanted something that was fail -safe i.e. I couldn't stuff them up. oh dear
I am feeling a little more enlightened now I've read this thread !!!

I have, after making 5 batches, perfected this to our liking.
I add food colouring at the start with the water, salt and tartar. I add 280g flour. After mixing in the flour, no need to wait for it to cool - just add 15ml oil and knead 1 min max.
Beautiful stuff.

Hi !
Where can I find the recipe for the playdough ? I am new in this forum and I have only a Germany Thermomix cook book where they do not have the playdough recipe. Thanks for your help and sharing! Jenny
