I missed out on having a MIL.  She passed away just before I met my DH.  I have always felt that someone was missing from the family dynamics - I would lhave really liked to have met her.

I got on well with both my MILs, even had the second one living with us for a couple of years before she passed away.

I had my arms full of bags of shopping and a huge bag balancing on my back, i bent down forwards to put the toilet paper down next to the toilet door to save me a special trip back, and the carton of orange juice fell out of the bag rolled over my head and the lid  broke open and juice was just glug glug glugging out as I stood and watched in shock. All over my nice clean floors, down the cracks of the skirting, and also under my bedroom door. My DD thought I had hurt myself by the sounds of my shrieking, so I calmed down a little as I could have done worse than spilling juice over the floor

and then when I was making myself a cup of tea I grabbed the milk and was shaking it down near my leg cos it was a full bottle and really heavy - turned around and there was all this milk over the entire kitchen floor. I couldn't believe this - twice in one day. Lucky the mop was still wet. Gonna be real careful now cos things happen in threes.

Oh dear CP  
I did that yesterday with a carton of cream shook it up not realising it had been undone.  Result was cream all over me and the floor.  Dog thought it was wonderful though.
