JD and Chookie - I'm a little bit behind in my postings (approx. 4 or 5 pages on this thread).  However, if you anticipate passing by at any time, drop me a PM and I would delighted to meet you all - although I have just checked the map and I think you are more likely to take the southern route than the more northern one.

Loving these kitchen photos.  Frozzie I can understand why you need more cupboard and bench space - we all like to put our own mark on a kitchen to suit what we do in it but it has a lovely country feel to it as it is.
Robyn, now that is a kitchen I could work in very nicely - so much room to move and bench space which is sadly lacking in my kitchen.
Thanks girls, anyone else going to show their kitchen photos?

Lovely kitchen showcase!  Well, my name is to remember DS2, Denzel - full term baby and super quick labor, so he was born at home... had a precious short time with him, normal life until when he's 11 day and keep on vomitting.  We took him to Westmead Children Hospital and sadly the specialist found that he had rare and untreatable disorder with his liver, Neonatal Hemochromatosis and died four days later at 16 days.  It's been four years ago.  He stays in my heart and I want to remember him and use his name for my login in different things.

Oh Denzelmum, that would be so sad.
I had to get blood tests for hemochromatosis last year, as my brother now has it.
I had not heard of it untill then.

Thank you JD and Obbie.  Just celebrating Denzel's 4th birthday on Sept 29.
Good on you for checking your iron level, Obbie.  Hemachromatosis generally not appear until adulthood and genetic.  Unfortunately NH is a bit different, not much knowledge about this just yet, it's not genetic and not known yet what causing it, not the way he's born, not what I did or eat during pregnancy, still lots of mystery and because it's so rare, not much fund and interest to do more research for this.  Unfortunatly either the baby will die before born or have a very short live.  And after having NH baby, there is 80% chance have baby/ies with NH as it is autoimmune disease. We joined the trial conducted from doctor in US to lower the risk - with DS3, from 12 weeks pregnancy till born every week I receive IvIg, imunoglobulin (blood product transfusion) spent 9-10 hours every Tuesday in the hospital, very controlled and high risk pregnancy, until bub born and another 7 days in NICU to ensure DS3 is free from NH.  Very happy to report DS3 is a healthy and active boy!  And now I start donate blood regularly, need to pay back after receive around 200 units!

Denzelmum, it's so hard to know what to say when you hear such a heart wrenching story like yours.  There's really no answer as to why some things happen but you sound as though you are very strong and are able to carry on and give something back with your blood donations.  So glad to hear that DS3 is fine.  More big soppy hugs from here.
