Robin, glad you found my blog. I started it because friends, cooking buddies, work colleagues, and family were often asking me for recipes. Entries post thesis start, been rather sporadic, but since TM has become part of my life, I found that I go into the kitchen to experiment more and more.  If I like what I've produced, I'm inspired to take photos and share recipes!

Can anyone help? I am in a flat strap panic here. I put cheese (less than 250g) in TMX to grate this morning and the blades didn't turn. I can't find anything on this apart from the problem above but my blades are not freewheeling as described.

The very top of the blade device (the little metal top of the blades) smoked and was too hot to touch.

I haven't tried to do anything else. I did try just putting about 5 small bits of cheese in to see if that worked and same problem.

I'm just about to prepare lasagne from scratch for 20.....in a major panic.

thanks in anticipation!

ignore this - I just found another thread that deals with the problem I have. Looks like new blades will be required.

Hope you can whip into HO and pick up a new set then Serena so that you can get that lasagne done.

Has anyone noticed the price changes on the TMX accessories online shop?  Blades are now $115 instead of $150.

That's nice to know GF, thanks for that.

I was recently told by Miele that they had reduced their prices for spare parts - looks like HO may have come to the same conclusion ie highly overpriced and unreasonable.
