Ordered my side of beef & lamb today

A few people asked me how long my meat order would last. Well as you know when I picked up my new batch at the beg of July my freezers were nearly empty. Today I decided to go through my freezer & see what meats & cuts I have. Most of the et is in 1kg packs.

1 diced lamb
2 lamb riblets
2 leg lamb roasts

1 mt barker chicken
7 pkts chicken breast about 750g each

4 beef mince
1 sausages

CHESTER

2 silversides
1 standing rib
2 osso buccos
4 beef mince
1 oyster blade steak
1 T bone steak
1 beef ribs
1 rump steak
3 sausages
1 sirloin steak
 LAMB
1 lamb loin chops
CHICKEN
1 Coles chicken

So as you can see its been about 2 months & I have heaps of meat left. The steaks are about 1kg, pork roasts over 2kg, the lamb roasts are smaller.

Yes its great, I initially thought until the end of the year but I think it will last longer. Will probably buy another lamb when its all gone as we all love lamb

Hally that's still a lot of meat isn't it?

In case you were looking for a recipe for the lamb riblets we had this one from the masterchef website on the weekend and all loved it. We had it with lemon potatoes and a salad of spinach, almonds, pumpkin, beans and feta and it was one of the best meals I've eaten in a long time. We had never had the lamb ribs before but I got them very cheap so thought we would give them a try.

I have lamb ribs in the freezer and have never cooked them before.
This sounds delicious and will definately use this recipe when I cook them. Your side dishes sound lovely too

Wonder & Uni yes your  right I still have lots of meat, should  just make use of what I have. Just love pork & chicken.

Wonder, thanks will try that one. Last batch of lamb ribs I made were sticky lamb ribs, they were yum too.
