Recipe Review - Chicken Yakitori QFITT page 108
« on: February 08, 2012, 08:01:31 am »
These are delicious, so tender and tasty.  I cooked them in the WeberQ for 4 minutes each side.  DH said they were melt-in-the mouth. 400g chicken thighs made 6 skewers

Looks lovely JD.   Beautiful presentation.  Makes my mouth water.
I often look at these type of recipes and don't do them as they look fiddly.
Also the chicken nuggets.  I might have to try them to see if I can get DGS to eat chicken this way.

I made this for our supper this evening.Agree with JD's comments,it's tender, tasty and delicious.I had to cook the skewers under my grill in the cooker for 15 minutes, turning them frequently.I loved the cucumber salad that is served with it.Thanks Alyce, another winning recipe :)

Couldn't be bothered using skewers so cooked it on the wok with a red chili thrown in for a zing! Yummy.

Quick, easy recipe. Ended up marinating overnight instead of 1 hour. Hubby cooked them up this morning so he could take some for lunch and said they were "f#$$%ing awesome" and that we should use this recipe for when we have guests over for BBQ's so I guess he liked them :P

Made the cucumber salad too which was nice but does not involve the TMX. First time using mirin and a great result in all.

Here are a couple of photos:

I think with that sort of recommendation on the chicken it is a must make!

These really are fantastic and super easy to make. I used breast and marinated the chicken all day. Delicious  will make again. I also made the cucumber salad which was nice but not a hit here.

They look great kimmy, will have to look at the recipe. Did you cook them on the BBQ?
