Hello and welcome to the forum Brumington. You and DH will thoroughly enjoy cooking with the thermomix.
My dear friend has 2 boys aged 9 & 12 - she said she has noticed a big difference in their behaviour since baking all her own bread and snacks without the preservatives. Let us all know when your thermomix arrives.

How
How long after you order it does it usually take? I'm so impatient! I'm buying tomorrow at the demo. Will I be baking before Easter? LOL!

Are you in WA? If so there is a remote possibility but if not I don't think you will be.

Welcome to the forum, I have been away for four days and the first thing I did after opening the door was turn on the TMX and throw in the ingredients for a risotto, it cooked while I unpacked the car, I've just had the left overs for dinner tonight, very yummy. You will love it.

Welcome Brumington, you and the TMX sound like the perfect match! A word of warning on saving money - I definitely save money on food shopping but I've spent lots on Tupperware! Because I now use so many base ingredients I never used before I needed LOTS more containers. And since my best friend is a tupperware consultant I can't go and buy the cheap stuff

... have you been tempted by the shopping thread yet? It's dangerous ground.

So, I had my demo yesterday. Had a great day and my rep is just beautiful.
I've decided we are definitely getting one, just have to wait a couple of months to get the money up together. I was hoping I could buy at the demo but after some unexpected and rather large bills coming our way it now has to be put on hold for just a little longer. How long after the demo do you have to buy in order to get the thermoserver?
I'm now totally confused though. I was under the impression that you could only buy from a rep. Now I see they are available to purchase online for a reduced price. Are the other ones the real deal? What is the difference?
I've had a look at that shopping thread - dangerous ground. And don't get me started on Tupperware deedub!

Swanscook,
this
thread is 151 pages long and it is where we tell or show you what we have bought - some of us are prolific shoppers, not me but you will see one person in particular who loves shopping
You may like to start at page 151 and work your way back or you will be there for a week.

Hi brumington and welcome to the forum. Why not pop over and
enter in the poll
so we can keep track of where our members are from.
We have lots of delicious recipes here that our members have kindly posted - and here is my current
list of favourites
(which needs updating soon) - we also look forward to hearing from you if you have any queries, comments or converted recipes of your own to offer.

Brumington, they say patience is a virtue, but it's oh so hard to remember that whilst you wait for your TMX! The big day will come, just hang in there and keep on the forum, we'll keep you amused and informed.
