I have arrived home after the most wonderful thermomix experience. I must say I was feeling a little disheartened after reading some of the comments earlier and wondering if I had made a costly mistake. Dani is very warm and easy to listen to and watch. The recipes were very tasty and quite easy to make. I ended up getting In The Mix and already have some olive rolls in the oven. (a recipe that wasn't demonstrated today). After having a look through the book I think it is a mix of family friendly and recipes to make for entertaining and more special occasions. The beef stir fry was a one pot meal and very family and time friendly. Tempering chocolate is something I previously haven't attempted but will certainly give it a go now.
For those of you that said you haven't cooked anything from this book, maybe it's time to dust off the cover and and give it another go.

Michele

McMich,  While your book is still new-looking, I suggest you might like to cover it with thick black plastic now.  It looks nice while it's new but the black wears off very easily when you open the book.

I'll be interested to see how mine stands up to the wear as I have several recipes I want to try from this book.
Pleasantly surprised really as from the reviews I didn't think I would buy it.

Mine is still in perfect condition, I'm one of those guilty of not making anything out of this book.

I will have to get it out on the weekend and have another look through it. Such a waste to not use it.

I'm glad you had such a great day at the cooking class 😊

If you have time and want to keep your book looking nice, perhaps you could type up any particular recipe you are going to make, print it off and use that in the kitchen.  Keep it in a folder and use that every time you want to make something. to save wear and tear on the book.

Great to hear that your money was worth it Michele. I haven't got the book but did get the free app and made the chicken tagine the other day and we really enjoyed that.

Would love to hear which recipes you make and like and perhaps hear your reviews.

Chookie - maybe you can post some other tips you learnt from the B2b'classes you've been to ...much like the list you made from tenina's. I didn't know the seal thing and I wash it all the time.

Tasty, I will post reviews under the book title. I definetly plan to do the stir fry. I generally don't do red meat in the thermomix but will be giving this a go and something a bit more special is the lemon meringue pie. I love how it's plated up.
