So What Actually Happens At A Demo?

My demo is booked for tomorrow night and I am feeling excited and nervous. We are very cautious and quite private so it is a big thing to have a complete stranger into our house! Seriously I am not exaggerating - my family often laughs about how antisocial my husband is LOL.

I have my two best friends coming over for moral support. So what happens at a demo? My consultant is arriving around 6.30 and has let me know what I need to provide and what is on the menu. 

I am going overseas next week and so will take that time to go over all the pro's and con's prior to committing. Will this create any bad feelings from the consultant?

Kyton if you are upfront with your consultant and tell her exactly what you would like to do then I'm sure they will be fine, as ultimately it's your decision and you need to be sure before you commit.
  Your consultant will make all the recipes on the list which help show all the different functions of the TM and what it can do. Ask heaps of questions and just enjoy your self.
You already know the price so that won't be of any shock to you.

It is a good idea to give yourself some thinking time, but as Judy said I don't think you will need it. Consultants are usually lovely people and I'm sure they will be pleased that you are seriously thinking of purchasing.

Thanks everyone. Have just heard my sister is coming along as well so it will be a loud evening (my best friends have been through everything alongside me since we were 5 and we are almost 42 LOL).

Do you only get tastes of the food? Roughly how long do the demos go for? Just wondering if I need to get provisions for after / during - have plenty of wine / bubbles / cocktails just no so much on the food side.

No, kyton, you don't need any more provisions.  There is enough food for eight adults for hearty tastes, but generally fewer people than that attend.  And a demo is a demo.  Don't get blotto till the risotto.  If you hold off the alcohol, you will have a quicker presentation.  The demo is timed to 90 minutes but questions are encouraged, and typically it would run a bit longer than that.

Thanks again. No the drinks are for the catchup after the demo - they will be issued with one glass of bubbly as they walk in and the rest afterwards LOL.

OK so it sounds as if I only have to feed the kids and not worry about the visitors.

It was lovely. My sister was so-so but I knew she would be (is a fantastic cook but works full time plus spends half the week in Sydney so is not interested in purchasing). My best friends - one is a real foodie and so wants a TMX but unfortunately is not in any fiscal shape to even consider purchasing. My other best friend surprisingly loved the concept both for home as well as for the nursing home she is the Matron of.

The consultant was really friendly and upbeat, food was nice but could possibly be seasoned a little more.

All in all impressed and more then likely there will be at least one purchase however not until I return from Hawaii in two weeks.

As you probably discovered, you have enough left over food from the demo to last a few days! My first demo was lovely- although I knew I was going to order a TM anyway, but one of my guests ordered a TM at my subsequent Varoma demo.i was a bit like you at first, I thought why does someone have to come to our house to show us this machine? After the demo I realized that this is the best way to show off the capabilities of the TM, albeit with a somewhat limited menu.
