Frozzie I am heading to Camargue for our long weekend. Should I pack a mac? We are supposed to be riding - but if it's going to be wet - I'm staying in bed!

Hi bickie

Love that area.. Ok first pack a mac are you talking pc??  I imagine so....If pc then only if you dont need internet...wifi is free at most places but often only in hotel lobbies etc down that way  so not great if you want to stay in your room unles you have 3g then your fine..unless you have a usual place you go and know what they have.. Each time we have been down it has been limited..have you visited aigue mortes.. Love the walled city..

As for the weather cant really say.. They are announcing rain even down south but not all day but still very overcast but they ave known to be wrong haha and we live in indre et loire and have had a nice last couple of days but no idea what the weather has been like in bouches de Rhone.. You should be fine bit overcast for sure and a bit of rain but would definately pack something to keep you occupied incase it rains..

It has however stopped raining nonstop like it was last week so think that has gone thank goodnes.. Have a great weekend..😊

Thanks Frozzie - as my family keeps telling me - I'm becoming a POM - I meant a macintosh (raincoat) by mac not a PC - LOL

Hi Frozzie, hope your weather has been getting better this week.
If everyone with awful cold weather would like to send it my way - please do.  I am missing it and I'd love some rain.  The wet hasn't started here yet and it's hot and humid.  So I will happily accept all poor weather from all parts of the globe  :D

Oh dear frozzie, doesn't sound good in France. My sis is in Paris right now, so hoping its not too dreary there for her.

Here's hoping you can get over the wet weather blues. What about an indoor picnic?

We are the opposite here. It's just started raining and everyone is smiling as it looks like it may be the winter break the farmers are waiting for.
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

I hope so MJ. I remember as a kid the weather would break around Easter. It's a bit later now. I'm loving the rain.

I used to love the rain when I was little after a hot day and that fresh smell you get .. Fond memories! ... Not the same however after a long winter and no heat just grey and rain.. I think being aussie born and used to the heat makes it harder to take at times .. Would be the same for someone used to the cold and wet having only heat.. I'm sure they would miss the cold and dreary times..

I do hope though that farmers get the rain they need... Blessing to some and a downer to others..

Seems like there are quite a few forum family visitors in Paris at the moment..next week the weather is supposed to clear up however rain or not Paris is a magical city .. And so many nooks and crannies.. Love to visit..

Hi Frozzie,
Sorry to read you have had such miserable weather, the same as here in Tassie. However I can not imagine how bad it is. Every time we have travelled to France is in the summer, to escape the winter, it has always been hot. I hope you do get some sunshine soon. :)

I was lying in bed this morning at 6:30 just listening to the rain falling from the heavens above. What a sound it makes, it roars and pours, and then dissipates to a drip drip drip...I always think there are some extra magical ingredients in rain water because plants thrive better on that than tap water even though its just water. Apart from when I am driving, I adore rain.

I was so glad to hear you had some over there CP as these days you seem to be drier than us here in SA.  I love listening to rain too and find a rainy day a perfect day to be in the kitchen. Having to go to appointments is not a good thing though as it takes so long to get DH out of the car that it is hard to stay dry.

Frozzie - the weather in the Camargue area over the weekend was great. So I am hoping was good for you too. You were right about this area.  What a place!!!! We had amazing food, saw extraordinary birds and loved the scenery. And I didn't fall off my quite feisty horse - which I am very happy about especially as we were helping round up the bulls.
