Amy if its meat of any kind, yes i do put it in the fridge to defrost .

any other item, if it going to get cooked at high temp i leave out.

my egg whites i leave out overnight to make pavlova roll .

i hope this helps
uni

Yes it does, thanks Uni :)

I do have another question though...If I make a loaf of homemade bread, should I slice it up before I freeze it?

Uni this is an excellent list.  I was actually going to post a question last week to see if anyone knew if bocconcini would freeze ok but going from your list I think it will - surely if camembert freezes!

Oh - under L you have lemon crud - I think you mean lemon curd!

Thanks snappy, I was just wondering today if you could freeze bocconcini - I just knew someone like uni would have the answer!
Do you drain before freezing, uni?

Can you freeze the pasta after you've cooked it, or does it need to be frozen in dough form?

Great list I will copy it to Evernote to keep....can you freeze uncooked cake batter?

I recently bought one of the thermal pots and love making "steamed" type cakes in it overnight, I was wondering  if I could premake cake batter in the TM and zip bag it and  throw it in the freezer till we camp ( save taking flour, eggs etc camping )

Uni this is a great list, many thanks.
DG  piklets should freeze fine, ( they never last long enough in this house)
Another for your list Uni is Rock melon. Makes into a yummy fruity dream from EDC.
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!
