Thanks for your concerns guys.  At the hospital early this morning just after they bought him around and removed his breathing tube.  Tests reveal it was not a stroke but a bad seizure and the reason they put into a coma was to give the brain time to recover.  First question he asked me was 'what are you doing here'!  I couldn't believe it.  I really didn't think he would remember I was supposed to be going away today.  He is a bit vague but has only been awake for a short time so guess that is understandable.  Geoff's sister Robyn has been with me the whole time, sleeping over last night - so nice to have her support.  Thank you all for your lovely messages and to those going on the retreat, have a ball.  My thoughts will be with you but for me, it was just not meant to be.  Xxxxxxxx

MY DH and I were in shock at breakfast this morning reading a pm from Judy with the news.  It is so awful for them both.  Such a terrible thing to happen and now Judy can't go to the retreat - which she needed and was so looking forward to.  Life is so cruel sometimes.

Judy - I just saw the news!  My heart goes out to the two of you. . .  what a terrible shock!  I do hope Geoff has a speedy recovery . . and you, too, after such a shock!  I know how much you were looking forward to getting away - but there will be other retreats/events, etc.  I'm sure! This idea of CP's just may take off around the country - who knows what lies ahead! Try to get plenty of rest and do look after yourself!!!  :-* :-*

So relieved that Geoff has come round and it wasn't a stroke.  I'm still a bit shaky after the shock of hearing your news, but it's good news that he seems to have come out on this side and can remember things.  Fingers crossed for a good recovery.

You will be sorely missed this weekend, but I am sure there will be a huge 'group hug' coming for you from WA.
