What's an enviro bag Cathryn - one of those canvas type shopping bags.  We use them all the time here in SA since plastic shopping bags were banned.

Gretchen, I wasn't so much up early as unable to sleep. I wake up at 2am every night and can't get back to sleep for about 2 -3 hours. Last night, I even took a little white pill and that didn't help.

I know the feeling. I have to get up at least 4 times a night to pee. Sometimes more and never have a full nights rest. It is very tiresome , annoying and a pain in the ass. I have some  little yellow pills but I still have to pee so it is just as well I do wake up I guess.

Like you I find it hard to get back to sleep so try reading or writing or watching the forum. Makes you so tired. I M lucky that I am retired and no longer have to go to work  tired . I feel for ya.

Phew. I miss a day and I have heaps to catch up on this post.

I'll have my car at the retreat and I'm quite willing to take some people to the market. I went about 3 years ago and there was a consultant there with a TMX selling things she had made in it. I hope Ian Parmenter is there.
How early will I have to get up?

I like the idea of the competition for most outrageous pillowcase from op shop. That way it will be easy to Match pillowcase to it's owner.

mcmich has also very kindly offered to bring brown bags with twine handles (thank you mcmich  ).  I was also thinking gee between now and then we are all probably going to be given at least one suitable bag when we go shopping. Why not just bring our own, as it won't take up much room when folded down or a pillow case if you wish? mcmich is coming from nsw so 30 bags take up a bit of room.

I wouldn't be highly recommending the farmers markets there is not a lot there. its in a very small area and there is nothing that will blow your mind. the fruit and vege places didn't have much. I was wanting to see some quinces and all I saw were bags and bags of apples. it is also very muddy...  but I do think its worthwhile going into the town for a drive and a coffee (for those so inclined)

I checked out the Natural Olive Oil Soap factory yesterday and its a great place to visit. Does everyone think they will be able to get to the lunch on Friday and if so, by 12 - 12:30pm?  I would like to make a reservation to ensure our mob are not turned away when we get there.

Depends on pick up time and how fast Tenina drives  . The drivers are the ones to ask.

CP how long will it take for me to drive there if I leave home about 9.30? I think Hally has to take crown prince to school first. I'd also like to go down through Harvey and stop at the cheese factory there if possible. Or we could come home that way, just to show the interstate folk some more of the countryside.

Well I have missed a lot of post after being away in SA since March, lovely place especially Clare and Barossa Valley.
I'm an albany girl so I could get to the retreat but realise it may be all booked now, but let me know if there are any cancellations.

Has the car pooling been organised CP? I've forgotten who was organising this and haven't heard from anyone so not sure what the arrangements are on the transport front.
