Tasmanian tiger bread with photos

it was to early for me to try and converter the uk tsp to aus tsp i dont think thats was the problem i think it was the rice flour that i used

I forgot to say that i used the no fuss recipe  :)

i just had some with butter its very crunchy which i love. this paste would be lovely on any bread

not enough stripes  :-))

Looks pretty good to me too fundj.  I think I'd use the No Fuss recipe too, I know that works.  ;D

I tried this today but I think it needs to be a white loaf.  Mine was a hybrid - 1/2 plain white flour (had no white bread flour) and 1/2 Phyosoy linseed & soy bread mix.  The topping to me was too thin after 10 minutes so perhaps it needed more rice flour, either that or be left longer to thicken up.  I was happy with my loaf though and will try the tiger bread again next time.

I made it too using the no fuss recipe.  I also found the 'paste' very runny and so added 2 more spoonfuls of rice flour which seemed to do the trick.  Was good for something different.  :D

same JD  but i did go shopping and bought some, when i got home i mixed some with water and its was more of a paste than this mornings one, did yours have a lovely crunch?

Oh yes, it certainly did.  I just think that recipe on the link needs more flour Uni as Julie also thought and she did add more. No way would I buy rice flour when I can make it so cheaply.  Hardly ever need it but will use it for bread quite often now.
