Amy, it's pretty hard to stuff up, I believe most things can be rescued.  My jam didn't set, so it became sauce over ice cream or mixed into yoghurt, my beetroot salad I chopped too much became dip and a topping for baked potatoes, I tried chopping zucchini and turned it into mush, used it in a cake.  The list could go on and on. 

Nothing is ever wasted in this house, just need to take a deep breath and learn from the mistake

Thanks keiramax :) I do try to rescue my cooking "flops", but there have been a couple of occasions where I have mixed flavours that probably shouldn't have been mixed ( :-)) ) and the result has tasted pretty gross. It's hard to find another use for a dish or element of a dish that tastes like old socks :P

But I certainly learn from my mistakes! So there's a positive :D
