Thanks Lisel for your feedback. Yes, the balsamic can be powerful, I love the tanginess it adds to the sauce but if it's too much, try halfing the quantities next time? You can taste the sauce once it's cooked and add some sugar to counter the effect of the Balsamic perhaps?

I will halve the balsamic, and add some sugar, thanks for that suggestion.  It will definetly be going on the menu plan rotation and one day my kids will eat salad and I won't have to shove quite so many veggies into every dish!
