Sadly the pineapples we get here aren't really the best. We have had 3 home grown ones this year though.

Cookie there is a Farm just down the road andthe pineapples are delish.. He sells them for 1 or 2 dollars depending on size... After 12 years without any decent tropical fruit im loving mangoes, pineapples etc and will also be bjoying the lychees when they start..

Just used mine last night, DH did it turned out well, have fresh pineapple at work today, it did require some strength to twist, maybe because we had an extra big pineapple

Good to hear that it turned out well. Yes, I think the size of the pineapple may have something to do with it. I'll keep that in mind when I buy my pineapple.
