-
Any idea of contents?
:)
-
Frozzie, I don't use Facebook. What does Tenina say?
-
ACW - basically just an announcement . . . maybe Tenina will list the contents later . . or even on here . . .
"Officially ‘Merry Christmix, a collection of festive recipes 2012’…ebook, will be launched in the next few days. Great giveaways, and some fun to come! Hope you will be in it to win it!"
-
She said that the new ebook would be launched in the next couple of days, from the picture it looks like the recipes will be sweet and savory.
Hope Tenina doesn't mind here is a picture of here new ebook

-
Sorry chookie i was out...still am but have stopped for lunch.. Yes just an announcement no contents and nothing on her store yet!
-
I can hardly wait. I have been known to sit and drool over her desserts ebook.
-
Lol cookie
Love teninas books and have all of them and Will get this one too ;)
-
Thanks everyone. I am just plain impatient. Hope i can download it easier than the last one. My problem, not Teninas.
-
Chookie, if you want, i can always print this off for you on my wonderful new full colour printer and post it on or you can collect it next time you are around Melbourne.
-
Do you need an iPad for her ebook or will a pc do? And if I download to pc can I transfer later to iPad if that's what I get from Santa for Christmas?
-
How much will it be, anyone know? :)
-
If you have an iPad you go to iBooks, and "swing your bookcase around" until you see the PDF title at the top. That's where the PDF file will be when it's downloaded. I just about gave up last time.
-
I'm sure you can have both a PC or apple, and then download from the same email once you get an iPad.

i was lucky mine showed the PDF first, so I didn't have to swing the bookcase. ;) ;) ;)
-
I was wondering if alyce Alexander would release one shortly and what'd you know...have preordered a couple as Chrissy pressies
-
I'm so excited - just what we asked Tenina for and she has delivered!
I'm not on Facebook either so would appreciate it if someone could post on this thread when it becomes available!
-
KimmyH, I have my ebooks on both ipad and android tablet and they all read well, but to read an epub or mobi (kindle), on a PC you need to download a program to view them, I haven't bothered as the iPad has a fantastic - if not the best ebook reader in my opinion.
-
Will do snappy as soon as i see it 😁
-
What sort of programme do you need to veiw the book on a PC? I didn't get the desserts book as I was hoping it would also come in a hard copy. :)
-
is it for a thermomix or any machine..
-
Michelle any pdf reader like adobe or many others...
Robyn think its only thermomix but not sure just says thermo so who knows.. She isnt letting much out of the bag about this one .. Not that ive seen anyway...
-

Looks good Jen and Tenina. I'm sure Tenina will pop over here and let us know all the details as she knows we are not all on FB.
-
Its now available

-
Just purchased and down loaded it. It was really easy and I am not tech savvy at all.
I'm never going to get to bed now and I have work tomorrow morning.
Thanks for letting us know Jen. :)
-
Thanks Jen! Going to check it out now!
-
You beat me to it…I just posted the link as well…thanks all…you are the best!
Merry Christmix!

have just transferred the recipes to Paprika :)
-
Oh my!! This is good!! Have just purchased it . . . Thanks, Tenina = it's gorgeous!! :D
-
Yay girls, now let it go viral! I think it is the only bunch of new Chrissy recipes out there this year at least…
Enjoy. For those of you with a PC, it comes as a PDF, so it is just a file on your desktop that you open up in full glorious colour whenever you want to drool! (Or cook of course!!)
:D
-
Have just purchased it and it is really good. Can't wait to start cooking.
-
if I purchase on my work computer can I transfer to my ipad when i get home? Assuming i can but would hate to end up with it only on the work computer!!
-
Wonder just log in to tenina's store on the devise you want to download on, you get 5 downloads.
-

You get it as an email link, so as long as you can access your email link from home device, you will be able to download it from there too…and you can have it on your phone for when you are out shopping!!
:D
-
Downloaded it this morning.
Cant wait to try a few things. There goes my budget :o ???
What type of cheese is provolone & where do can you buy it?
Is it a hard cheese?
-
I've downloaded it too. I really want to try the Pork Belly....mmmm.
-
Hally you can buy provolone at most good deli's, it's great melting cheese but I find on the expensive side.
Thanks for the advice Tenina and jeninwa - if I get time while at work I'll download.
Tenina one further question - I haven't got on the Crio Bru wagon and was wondering if it can be subsituted in most of the recipes. I saw in the past Judy (i think) was looking at substituting coffee but most people seem to liken the taste to chocolate so I'm a little confused.
-
Thanks wonder, I am using mozarella :)
-
I just download too, can't wait to go home and cook in my 2 machines..
-
It is downloading to my computer right this minute! :D
Thanx Tenina!!! :-*

Crio Bru is just chocolate that has been roasted and ground without any additions. Cocoa, even if raw cacao has had a process done to make a powder. This is not a healthy process. However, you can substitue cocoa for most of the recipes. The only exception would be the Crio Bru chocolate bark.
You can use coffee in some recipes but not all. It definitely changes the taste of course. So up to you as far as how much you like coffee flavour.
Hope this helps. :D
-
Tenina, I have printed off the eBook thanks but not all the printing came out. Having to go through each recipe and write in the missing parts. Has anyone else had this problem?
-
Thanks Tenina.
-
I just printed mine of Judy and it's fine
-
Don't you use the recipes direct from your iPad JD?
-
No, I'm a recipe-on-paper person CP. ;D

Judy, is the problem with the printer itself? When mine does this its usually time for a new cartridge/toner, etc.
-
I don't know gf, I did have to replace the colour cartridge at the end but the black one is OK. Not a problem, I'll just fill in the missing words - just wanted to know if it was happening to anyone else.

OH no…sad day. Actually this brings up a good point. We are doing costings of printing hard copies. I think for gifting in particular it is nice to have a hard copy as opposed to an ebook, so would love to hear feedback about that. No point us doing it if you are all happy (by and large) with an ebook.
Yell louder, can’t hear you.
Ebook?
Actual book?
Both?
-
;D ;D BOTH!! (pardon me for yelling . . . . ;) )

Tenina, I would much prefer a hard copy. The Christmix book is the first I have down loaded. I like something I can hold and flick through.
Am sure I will adjust.
-
Book for me too. They make great gifts and who doesn't like sitting down with a glass of something browsing through a book with lovely recipes and photos. Sorry, will never change my mind to eBooks ;D
-
I like either Tenina. ;)
Hard copy is beautiful to hold and look at and are great for gifts......
I was never too keen on ebooks but now I have an iPad mini I'm loving them! Great to have "on hand" if I suddenly decide at shops I want to cook something from them I can check ingredients straight away. Also I'm running out of room for more recipe books :-))
The down side is I really want to buy my mum these ebooks (I have bought FFS and Dinner Spinner for both of us ) but as her computer is pretty unreliable and she has no real need to replace anytime soon - I won't be. :-\
Can't wait to buy this one Tenina but unfortunately have to wait until Xmas!! :P ;D
-
Ebook gets my vote. No shipping cost, and instant gratification ;D
-
I do prefer books :)....and I don't mind paying extra to have them.
I have bought the ebook, and transferred to my recipe book app.....very handy, but I still print it out, just in case the ipad or desktop computer comes to grief.
-
I prefer an ebook, that I way I can take it with me on my boat, guests houses and work. Sometimes I do print them out as well.
-
Oh no. I have been out all day and have come home and looked on here and found I can now purchase a new ebook. I will do it as soon as I feed the hungry hords.
-
Books are nice to have but when the postage is as much as the book then ebook is better and I tend to look up stuff on my iPad, so ebook is also more convenient. (And easier to email the wife and say "how about this")
So ebook (and/or book if you could get a distributor in the UK or Germany for your books)
-
I have downloaded this and it is on my iPad. I can't wait to try
some all of the recipes.
Thank you Tenina. You have done it again. A lovely Christmas present, thanks. Now what to try first?
-
Ebook is fine - often cheaper so more inclined to buy compared to cost of printed version, and much more environmentally friendly (no dead trees or chemicals)
-
I love a real book but am just as happy with an e book, I just print it off and put it in a folder;D
-
I am a hard copy person - but the ebook works well - I printed it off, put it into plastic sleeves and clipped them together to make a 'book' - albeit a bit floppy as I didn't put hard covers on it.
I have also been feeling a bit guilty about a comment I made at the beginning of this thread, when I offered to run off a copy for Chookie - on reading it afterwards it appeared that I was offering to run off a 'pirated' copy from my purchased book. That wasn't the intention at all, I just hadn't thought through the whole process of Chookie getting me a copy of her downloaded book then me printing it off ... oh, I am getting in a right muddle here, aren't I. This explanation is probably making everything worse and even more convoluted and confused. I'll stop now before I drive everyone nuts.
-
EBook for me.
-
Ebook for me too. :)
-
Both however have a preference for a hard copy book! Even if i get an ebook i always print it out to have a hard copy..
-
I like hard copy better, my stapler won't go through all the ebook pages!
-
I really want an ebook of FFS and QFITTM even tho I have the hard copies. I want to have the choice to buy books in each and every format
-
I'm pretty sure I read on here that Quick Fix will be released as an ebook soon. :)
-
E-book -as I assume we wouldn't have to wait as long (for publishing processes & printing etc)? I'm impatient!
And no postage, and world wide....and we can print & bind ourselves (I bought a binder from Aldi & it is super handy for things like this).
-

I hope so, likewise I would like FFS that way to but I wonder if there is a hold on it till its been in print for a while.
