Easy Granola ....... over night in the oven
Ingredients:
1000 g rolled oats
160 g of oil (I use cold-pressed coconut oil)
175 g honey
2 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp vanilla
Preparation:
• Preheat oven to 175 ° C
• Warm honey, cinnamon, vanilla and oil in at 50 ° C on speed 2
• Pour over oatflakes in TPC-casserole (or other)
• Stir well and place in the oven for 10 minutes
• Stir and bake for another 10 minutes
• Stir, place back in the hot oven, close the door, turn off the heat and leave overnight
• Do not open until the next morning
• Add coconut flakes, raisins, gojiberries or whatever you like
Variation: mix with coconut flakes, dried applepieces, pecans, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds
before you turn the heat off

Thanks, sure does look yummy - good work :-*
-
Yum - looks great. I've been looking for something like this, my partner loves granola (as do I) but I don't buy it because of the sugar and additives. Thanks Tebasile :) :)
-
You're welcome :)
-
I usually bake my granola in the slow cooker, but this looks great too.
-
Hi vivacity,
nice to see you :) . I used to bake it in the slowcooker too. The oven is less stirring
-
How long does this last just out of curiousity? Would probably get eaten in one day but thought I should ask!
-
In our house around 2 weeks....I know from some people and one Single for 1 week :)
-
hehe My husband loves the granola you buy in the store... will have to see what this recipe tastes like and see if I can get a close approximation to that.
-
Are there recipes for doing it in a dehydrator somewhere - not TMX, but just wondering.
-
Yes, there are recipes Thermomixer ;) - with the TMX-Excalibur-Dreamteam

Couple of questions for the more experienced chefs!
How would you recommend storing this (in container in fridge/in container at room temperature)?
How long do you think it keeps?
-
I keep it in a mason jar at room temperature. I would say it will keep maybe 4 weeks....not in our house ;)
-
Thanks :)
What's a mason jar??
I very much doubt it'll last 4 weeks here either!! LOL I bought some cranberry kirsch type from the shop the other day and it was >$10.00 so was thinking of combining to make it last longer lol!!! Although I daresay when I'm more proficient I will be able to make one my kids don't turn their noses up at!
-
What's a mason jar??
Glass jar with a screw top lid. Someone was looking for lids earlier.
-
When you say "oat flakes" do you mean rolled oats?
I love home made granola better than any shop-bought, so this is on my list to do today!
-
Yes and Thank you Amanda. I'm still learning english every day ;). I'm going to change it in the recipe :)
-
So, tell me...is granola what we Aussies call toasted muesli?
-
I've never heard of toasted muesli :D ...it is muesli
-
In Australia, toasted muesli is cooked - as in toasted in the oven, whereas raw muesli is not cooked at all, not even soaked. It's disgusting!
So, granola is toasted muesli! Good, now I'll have another try at making it. Thanks!
-
This granola is so easy to make and heavenly. The only thing bad about it is having to smell the beautiful aroma as you try desperately to go to sleep without raiding the oven!
-
This is so easy and the smell in the house is just divine. Thank you so much another favorite added to my thermomix bag of tricks.
