Title: Thelma's Here
Post by: Nik2WIN on November 02, 2010, 02:17:29 pm
Thelma is here, unpacked and currently cooking corguette soup. (zuchini to some of you maybe??)

As fabulous as I'm sure it will be, its a damn expensive soup maker so I'm going to have to expand my repertoire somewhat to make her pay her way <G>

No doubt I will keep you busy with continual updates over the next few weeks

Yay! How exciting.  You definitely have to expand your horizons further than soup.

Baby steps, cook what you're comfortable with and gradually try new things as your confidence builds up.  You'll get there.

Enjoy experimenting!

Have also done the children's tea of rice, carrots and brocolli and salmon completely in there.  I KNOW I could just as easily have done that on the stove top but, I'm familiarising myself  ;)

I then made custard to go with the (tinned - go on shoot me!) sponge pudding.  They love sponge pudding but I rarely do it with real custard as real custard scares me ...  Not any more  ;D

Later on I shall be doing curry for dh and I.  Its really quite exciting (what a complete saddo!)   ;D

Going well Nic - if Thelma can do it, don't even consider doing it on the stove top anymore.  Put her to work as that is what she is for. You will be amazed at just what she is capable of.

Louise?? No wonder she bit the dust - she needed a much more sensible name - Barbara?  ;D
