I know it isn't really TMX talk but I thought these were so cute
-
bedlam can you make it bigger
-
Fundj,
I thought I was so clever getting it on there. I took photos at 12megapixel and I am finding it har to reduce them enough to add them.
-
you are very clever sorry :'(

It's ok, I know I am not computer clever, I am trying. I think it is a good idea of yours to reduce the photo size to start with. Next time.
-
You'll get there Denise, once it all clicks you will be home and hosed. I was over the moon when I learnt how to post a photo, not as good as some of the girls but for me it was a great achievement from a non-savvy computer operator. The girls on here have taught me more about computers than anyone else.
-
Do you know what else I reckon? all the photo's that people have been putting on with their kitchens -- wahoo! we are going to get a lot more recipe pics (well thats the plan anyway ;))
-
bedlam if you send me hte photo i can resize and post it for you.. :)
did they look like this??
-
:) Frozzie that photo looks great.

Yes Frozzie, thanks for that. If you reduce your photo with something different to paint can you pm me please. When I reduce as JD sent me it is still too big to attach. That is my problem.
I hadn't seen piggy cakes before...love Boulangeries!
-
Denise, if that's the case, reduce the size to 20% and see if that works. I find anywhere between 18% & 25% is working for me these days but at one stage it was bigger than that. Why - who knows with these darn computers ;D
-
With my old camera i reduce the size to 50% with my new camera its 20%
My paint stopped working yesterday :-)), that’s when i started playing around with the settings
And found the smaller size option for photos ;D
-
Ok, I haven't given up. I reduced it by 50% , so that was probably my problem. When I did 25 it was still too big too attach
-
try 20, let us know how u go
-
oh remember these little pigs - marzipan on the outside and sweet cream on sponge on the inside!
Also remember the green mice- same filling- maybe not so cute :-))
Bedlam, did you try chocolate kidneys: the shape of a kidney but different chocolate layers- very moist, rich and satisfies any choc craving!!!
-
Have you all heard of South Australia's iconic Frog Cake, listed on the National Trust list in 2001
-
Oh, they are sooooooooooooooo cute. I love frogs and pigs. I want one, I want one..........I wont be getting one. :'( :'(
-
ah ah ah Judy: I've only heard about frogs legs :-)) :D :D :D
What's the story behind the frog cake???
-
I love these little treats, in Romania (where I come from originally) you can still buy them in every patisserie. They are my favourite childhood treat and every time I go back to visit I need to stop and buy myself a few little green frogs.
They are made with any leftover sponge or bits of cake binded together with a rich chocolate syrup and rum essence then formed and left to firm up in the fridge before being glazed and decorated. They taste amazing
-
Passionflower, they look great.
I'm sure they taste good too.

Carine, here's (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frog_cake#History) the link to the history of the Balfours Frog Cakes. Personally, I find them too sweet & sickening :-))
-
Thanks for the link Judy! Fondant icing would definitely make this extra sweet. I'm not fond of any kind of icing- one of the people who ditch the icing on traditional fruit cakes :P
I love marzipan though. My fav birthday cake when I was little was a sponge filled with a light creme patissiere, flavoured with grand-marnier!, and topped with marzipan: can still taste it ;D

That sounds like Miss Maud's Princess Cake. It's a sponge with a creamy custard filling and has green marzipan over it.
I love the look of those frog cakes, but artificial cream on top makes me feel nauseous just thinking about it! I'd put a flattish patty cake on top instead and cover with buttercream!
