Good evening ladies (any gents here? any single gents perchance? :D)
Just ordered my thermomix after I couldn't get the idea out of my head post attending a demo.
I'm mostly planning on using it for basics like sauces and stocks, bread, juicing and milling/mincing, but who knows, I might find myself converting over once I get my hands on it and see what it can do.
Glad to be here and get to know you all :)
Ciao,
Bellla.

Hi altraviolet and welcome to the forum. Why not pop over and enter in the poll (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=395.msg89754;topicseen#msg89754) so we can keep track of where our members are from. Don't think we have any single men on the forum, but perhaps there are some lurking in the background who will come out from cover now ;)
We have lots of delicious recipes here that our members have kindly posted - and here is my current list of favourites (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=6470.0) - we also look forward to hearing from you if you have any queries, comments or converted recipes of your own to offer.

Hi ultraviolet, welcome to the forum. You are bound to use the TMX for way more things than you thought you would. We think we won't do certain things but this forum is very inspirational and before we know it, we are into everything ;)
It would be lovely if we could start up a romance between members - that would be a first ;D

Well luckily I didn't come here in search of a boyfriend then, really!
Thanks for the welcome everyone. Been browsing recipes and am looking forward to getting started :)
Bella.

Welcome ultraviolet, great to have you on the forum. Your new TM will be your new best friend and you will be cooking up a storm in no time. Maybe you should go to some cooking classes (you never know you might just meet a single guy there) lol

Well, what a day I've had! My TMX arrived at 9:30... once we'd done the intro and made the custard it was 10:30...
... next stop was a kitchen warehouse store to purchase a silicone baking mat and spatula (after reading about the frustrations with the TMX spatula), followed by Coles to get a few basic provisions and then my fruit and veg store to get some fresh stuff.
Came home and made butter. WOW is all I'll say about that.
Then made bread. Used the EDC recipe, except omitted the whole wheat (couldn't find any) and made up the volume with bakers flour. Made 6 large rolls topped with sunflower seeds - all ready in time to have a late lunch :D
Then whipped up some curry paste to have with fish tonight and now am stewing some tomatoes for home made pasta sauce!
... and its just gone 6:30pm. Not bad really!
I think I am converted :)
