Thanks.  I've gone white this time too.  Sometimes you need to follow the rules before you know which ones you can break. Nearly dinner time!

This sounds perfect.  Just wondering thought, can I use a tawny port rather than white wine?   ???

Well, I am pleased to report it is a success!  In the end I didn't have quite enough ricotta, so used 2/3 ricotta an 1/3 yoghurt.  I also added 1T of sambucca.
It was rich, creamy and delicious.

Hi Tenina
It's raining and I can't go get cream for your licorice Ice Dream.  Can I use ricotta?

Another problem solved.  Thanks ladies.   ;)

Thanks Cookie1.  It makes sense now.

The ice cream seems to be progressing nicely now thank you.

On it ... thanks!
 :D

May I do the final freeze and transport the icecream in the TMX insulated bowl or will I strike the same problem?  And can you tell me why it doesn't work in that bowl please.

9
I have it in the insulated TMX dish ... is that that problem Judy?

I have my creamy Traditional Ice Cream in the freezer, but it's been there 7 hours and still not firm enough to mix again.  Back in freezer overnight.  Am I doing something wrong?  :-\

This recipe sounded so delicious ... sadly I have just completed the part where I have cooked the meat and cream / evap milk, and the milk appears to have curdled.  :o   I imagine it will still taste wonderful, but it looks a little lumpy.  Any clues?  ??? ???
