Spice Mixes / Re: Satay marinade

Think that kaffir lemon leave would give it a different taste Goldfish,  but let me know how it went. My lemongrass is also looking very sad but there is a couple of good ones hope the heat gives it a boost .

Recipe Book Recipe Reviews / Re: Malaysian TM Book
« on: December 12, 2012, 06:29:36 am »
This book came with the machine so if you to try any recipes I can certainly post them for you.
I have confused Judy when I post my dish as Chicken Rice with Watercress soup instead of 3-in-1 cooking (Chicken+Rice+Miso Soup). Sorry Judy but that is what the dish it call Chicken Rice as to why watercress? That is because we like watercress.
The Kaya Jam sounds good Vieve I will try that out Thanks. the one on the TM book is not bad too but I was not too impress with it. I can post it if you want to compare.

Introduce Yourself / Re: Hello
« on: December 05, 2012, 10:34:03 pm »
Hi, I feel so 'welcomed'. Thank you. Bit about myself, I am born in Malaysia moved to Australia 30 years ago. I have two children Ben 19 & Cheryl 22 years old. Ben loves his meat and like his hot and spicy and Cheryl loves pork & lamb and nothing  spicy hot so i often have to juggle to please them. Cedric, my hubby and I just love food and Cedric over the years have learn to like pasta.
When I got the thermomix from Malaysia I was given the Malaysian recipe book too and have been using it. I have adjusted some recipes. I have tried some new recipes, dishes that we ate when we were young, I can share that with you but I have to get the portion right (the problem with me is I throw in a bit of this and a bit of that and not measure it). I am cooking chicken rice tonight it will be interesting to try to cook it my normal way with thermomix (as I have always use a whole chicken). I will let you know how that turn out tomorrow.

Hi I am Winnie. I am new to forums and Thermomix. My sister gave me the machine when I last visited her in Malaysia and have since tried cooking with it and loving it. So here I am ready to participate in anyway I can.  :)
