DH used to dress in black and shoot guns for work. Something has to be particularly fantastic to for him to be impressed. He describes our thermomix as an "awesome piece of kit". He thought it was so awesome he bought it for us. I love my DH and my thermie!!!

Chit Chat / Re: Thermie on an international flight??« on: April 12, 2012, 12:15:09 am »
Wow, thanks so much all for the advice, hints and general comments. Merlin, we are spending lots of time in Queenstown so that is helpful about the food availability. Issue really for DS7 is compounded by needing FS food. There are a total of 7 in the party travelling - 2 campervans. So, I think I can justify taking thermie along! He has done a caravan road trip to the Gold Coast and return (from Tassie) and travelled really well in the black travel bag. I will give Jetstar a ring and explain my plans .... will keep you posted on the outcome!

Chit Chat / Thermie on an international flight??« on: April 09, 2012, 11:05:07 am »
We have booked 3 weeks in NZ in September. We will be doing the campervan/motorhome holiday. DS is on a strict failsafe diet as well as being gluten and dairy free. This limits food options a lot, particularly in more remote areas and we will have to do lots of cooking for him still. Question now is do we take Thermie with us? We have to fly domestically to Melbourne first then an international flight to NZ. Will he fit in as hand luggage (we are booked Jetstar to NZ)? I have found some forums that aren't really definitive. Anyone done this before? Any tips? Help!!!

Chit Chat / Re: Any Tassie Thermomix Co-ops?« on: December 12, 2011, 09:27:37 am »
I am a Tassie thermomixer and would be interested in a get together. I am Devonport area and would be happy to pack thermie in it's travel bag and head to Launceston.
Lean and Green was in Ulverstone up until last week, it is now moving to Turners Beach and I am sure, will continue to have a great range of raw things - nuts, quoina, spices, flours, etc The Burnie Health Food Shop stock all sorts of goodies and the owner is an avid thermomixer!!! Lucas Trading Company in Albert Road, Moonah are fantastic - they supply lots of restaurants but sell direct to the public as well (an can arrange deliveries). 12

Recipe Requests / Re: Chocolate Mud Cake« on: November 20, 2011, 09:38:50 am »
If you want to resort to a packet mix .... Well and Good Chocolate Mud Cake (from Naturesworks) is absolutely awesome. You can do a low fat version too. It is dairy free and gluten free not sure is failsafe. Winner every time with the workmates who have no food intolerances!!

I just thought it was a normal response to a thermomix ... I didn't realise I had a problem!
