Non Food Recipes / Re: Washing Machine Goo (Detergent)

Many thanks Alioop.

I will make this tomorrow morning and report back.  I would make it tonight however the neighbours might think that i'm chainsawing the house down with the incredible noise the thermomixer makes while breaking up the velvet soap.  ;D

Alioop,

Yes please  I would love to know exactly what you did for the bicarb alternative.

My Dear Partner type man complained tonight that the towels smell like dogs urine (he didn't actually use the word urine though) ever since I started using the home made washing goop.

What is Thermobiz and where is the attachment?

I can't see any attachment in Brazen's post.

The answer is obviously obvious as other people know what you are talking about however I must be as dumb as a box of hammers because I can't work it out.

 ;D

Oh you use a decor container.  Brilliant idea.  I transferred all my pantry over to tupperware a few years ago and i kept a few decor pour canisters for the shed but i've not used them yet.

The only container I could find yesterday was a 3 litre plastic milk container and i'm not very keen on using that as it might be mistaken for milk.  Although milk being stored on the top shelf of a laundry i would think would be pretty rare.

I'm off to fossick around in my shed for the decor (satans Tupperware).

Well i've just made my first batch of goo.

It is the middle of the day here so i'm hoping that i can test run it by about 10pm tonight.

I cut my bars of velvet soap up into 4 and blitzed them however i thought my thermomix was going to take off.  It was looking like a pretty big bumpy ride.  So i took the soap out and cut it into smaller bits.  Thermy liked that a bit better.

Will report back later with the outcome.

Chit Chat / Re: Emails to Thermomix?
« on: July 15, 2009, 09:21:51 am »

I emailed Thermomix Tuesday last week and received an automated reply however nothing since then.  I got in contact with a demonstrator through another member on this site.

I've purchased one over the phone with the consultant and have not actually seen a Thermomix in real life.  Only on TV and on the net.

Introduce Yourself / Re: Hi from SA - Updated
« on: July 14, 2009, 01:51:54 am »

I emailed Monica and she has organised one of her consultants for me.

I've ordered and paid for it.  Will be here in two weeks.  I'm so glad I could order it before hand, it would have been awful to have the presentation and then have to wait 2 weeks.

:)

So the website contact didn't work for me.  Actually contacting a demonstrator did.

Introduce Yourself / Hi from SA

Hello everyone,  I'm a newbie Thermomix lover.  As yet I don't actually own one however am hoping to own one soon.  I contacted Thermomix via their website a couple of days ago and so far have not heard back.

Does anyone know if there are there many or any demonstrators her in SA?

I am looking forward to owning and using one.
