My Thermi is just over three years old so definitely out of warranty - would also lead me to believe the blades are worn.

Morning All
My Thermi has decided it doesn't want to chop. I can heat water in it etc but we couldn't chop our apple/almonds/dates for breakfast. I tried the ice cubes (I heard that sharpens the blades) but the blades wouldn't even turn.
When Thermi is empty the blades will turn (both ways) but as soon as I put anything in it, they won't turn. I tried Almond Milk and the blades turned but didn't chop.
Any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks Jenny

Thermi has just arrived by courier from Perth. Apparently, at the tender age of 2 1/2 yrs, Thermi had gotten a little dirty around his speed dial so he needed a bit of a clean up. And, due to the fact that he is a poor, overworked kitchen slave, he needed a couple of small parts replacing. For future reference, should this happen to anyone else, the total cost of the repairs was a mere $66. I am so pleased it was nothing terminal or expensive!!! Thermi is back at the salt mines as soon as we get home tonight - can't stand that supermarket Almond Milk!!!!!!!! Thanks everyone for your encouragment and support. xxxxxJenny

So, Thermi is having a holiday in Perth and I, in the meantime, am making porrige in the microwave!!!!! Two and a half years of bliss and now I'm back to the bad old methods of cooking breakfast - I don't half miss my green smoothie!!!!!
Thermi arrived in Perth of Friday afternoon and I had a phone call from Juri to say he had a arrived safely. I love how the people at Thermomix understand that our Thermis are our babies (come on, I know I'm not the only one)!! I still don't know if it is a big fix or a little fix and I won't find out until tomorrow now. Hopefully, Juri will be able to explain what went wrong and then I can pass that info on to all of you - you never know, it might be useful in the future if someone else has a similar problem.
I will keep you posted!

Morning Everyone
Thermi has gone on strike!!!!!! He still insists on not working, despite being unplugged overnight.
I spoke to my Rep last night and she is lodging a report this morning and I have to wait for somenoe to ring me. Poor Thermi. I can't believe that I have just finished a MAJOR cookup - all my sauces, rice, meals, stock conc, etc, enough food for at least two weeks, so Thermi might be thinking he needs a holiday up in Perth for a few days. I will miss him terribly and will have to become aquainted with the stove top again for a little while!!!!!!!!

Does anyone have a fix for this? I have done all that the manual says (switching off, resetting, etc) but i am still getting a constant beep and the word 'open' in the screen. I have tried taking the jug, lid, seal apart and re-aligning, all to no avail. fingers crossed someone can help. Jenny

Hello everyone and THANK YOU for the advice and best wishes. After ringing my lovely consultant, Thermi has been upside down on a pillow on the guest bed for the last 24 hrs - resting! I've just come home from work, dreading the thoughts of plugging him in, but, it had to be done. THERMI IS ALIVE AND WELL - phew!!! I've order a new seal and booked my surgery to have my heart removed from my throat. Thanks again everyone. Jenny xxxxx

Hello all I've been excitedly making the Five Seed Bread but i think i must be doing something wrong . We find the bread is really crumbly and difficult to butter! Has anyone else had this experience and is there something I can do to prevent this. Or should I just shut up and enjoy it? ? Regards Jenny H

Hi all
I have a dilemna (not - hahahaheheheheee)! I (that is ME who is by no means a chef) have just served the most beautiful evening meal.
Fillet of perch with lemon & fetta sauce - the recipe for which i found amongst these beautiful recipe topics. It even sounds grandiose!
It was absolutely gorgeous and now I have dillusions of grandeur!!!!!!!! Hubby reckons you would pay a fortune for this meal in a restaraunt and I just prepared it and had it on the table in 25 mins. I have astounded even myself!!!!!
Thanks everyone who takes the time to supply such beautiful recipes and share them with us all. I have had my TMX for about two months now and am producing the MOST AMAZING stuff - please just called me Masterchef!!!!!
Happy creating everyone
