I've drowned my Thermi

I've just made some nut milk (1 litre) and have drowned my Thermi.  I had a lid leak - cleaned and reapplied the lid - then noticed milk coming from the overflow hole in the back.  I got an Error 37 and now the screen has gone funny.  I've unplugged from the wall and tried again but the screen is still funny.

Have I drowned my Thermi - please tell me that the magic Thermomix Fairy will fix him.

I wait with a thumping, fast heart beat.

Jenny leave him unplugged until tomorrow and cross your fingers. The screen is funny from the moisture, if you leave it, hopefully it will dry out and be ok. Sending lots of healing to your Thermie  :-* :-*

ai understand the heart attack..dont understand how liquid got into the base though...might be a fault..ive had leaks from the lid when it has been too full on occasion and liquid drops down side of hte bowl but never gone into the electronic base part...thats supposed to be sealed?? seems strange to me...dont know if anyone else knows?

Jenny, you need to lay your tmx on it's back (gently) in a dry spot to dry out. Should really do it straight away if anything like that happens, or you spill something in it - there's little holes underneath that liquid can drain out of. Hopefully it will dry out and be okay. Sounds like you might need a new seal though - that would be why it leaked I think. Ring your consultant too!!

My oh my!  :o  Poor you -  :'(  I was going to suggest blowing at it from all sides and at close range with a hair dryer. This reminds me a bit of what happens when  you spill something on a computer keyboard. It usually works okay after drying out... upside down helps, as does hot air... maybe. Fingers crossed for you!!!

No problem - I learnt the hard way! My son put the bowl on not put together properly and I poured water in... the tech told me to do that and it worked - all good.  :)

Hello everyone and THANK YOU for the advice and best wishes.

After ringing my lovely consultant, Thermi has been upside down on a pillow on the guest bed for the last 24 hrs - resting!

I've just come home from work, dreading the thoughts of plugging him in, but, it had to be done.

THERMI IS ALIVE AND WELL - phew!!!

I've order a new seal and booked my surgery to have my heart removed from my throat.
