Bimby Arrived today! We are in the midst of moving so not sure whether we'll try her yet or wait till we move. Anyhoo, am a complete & utter newbie when it comes to grains, so can some please help with the following q's? 1. How to store the grain in bulk & also in smaller quantities (i.e. 1 or 5kg & 25-30kg) 2. How to mill the grain in the thermomix, as there is nothing in the recipe book 3. Can I replace the Bakers Flour in the recipes to some sort of grain? I would prefer to use fresher ingrediants Thanks everyone xxx

ordered one through the Sydney Group Leader (since there is noone near me) Yey! I have a thermomix coming...and a LOT of recipe books (thought its easier to use them at first, before I even begin considering converting my other recipes ) Yey for me Now just have to convince Hubby it was a worthwhile investment, we are also moving, and I am trying to convince him to move to a place a couple of streets over. I'm in for a lot of convincing! Whats a yummy healthy easy meal to make that will serve 2 adults & 3 kids (ranging from 3.5 years to 7 months? So something that can be whizzed to puree?

I love the Hubby/Mens Thread! I belong to a cloth nappy forum, and I always think there should be a mens thread on their, for all the men to moan & commiserate lol! I am convinced by it and can see the difference it will make! I never actually saw the masterchef show (we live in a tv "black spot" so we have pay tv instead But I saw it online and it was only on the screen for a few seconds, one of my friends apparently knew someone who was in the audience and said they cut a whole lot of stuff out about the Thermomix so "it wouldn't seem like a commercial" LOL, but the unanswered questions have obviously still gotten people revved up about it! I didn't even know a thing like this existed (not even a kitchen aid lol) until a few days ago, and was just totally swept off my feet by it. I can't always be there constantly stirring things, and hubby, bless him, tends to "forget" about things when he cooks (he is a very good cook when he concentrates ) I love being able to do playdough & fingerpaint in it too. And dough, as with the sorts of things, although fun for the kids to make by hand, when you have littlies of all different ages, it tends to create major problems, and they will love pressing buttons on the Thermomix! I am lucky with my kids, as they are happy to eat raw broccoli, they love it, but have noticed how much we tend to have additive laced food, and I don't bake dough based products much because of the mess & the time factor (plus my pizza bases have never turned out quite right ) Will just have to sit tight and be patient and await my email : I can't wait to b cooking with the Thermomix! I have seen heaps of video footage on Youtube and elsewhere, and it looks fantastic!

OOOOhhh, a meatbook! Hubby will love that! One more about "little kids" meals would be nice! Purees, mini burgers, organic such and such And maybe (I can't remember if they have something to this effect at the moment but..) a take to work lunch recipe book. The whole "Bento" thing is really in (making all food groups into one lunchbox) so a section in one of the recipe books about that! When I finally get one, I wouldn't look into "conveting" my recipes very often, I will probably sell most of my recipe books. One of my recipe books I do love is called something like 1001 meals, and inside the A4 pages are actually split into three, so theres entrees, mains & desserrts, so you can line up a whole meal. Cause of all these facts, I will probably be purchasing 90% of the books, I must get around to finding one of those recipe book holders with the plastic see-through fronts as I tend to get flour, liquids etc all over my books!

PMSL. Good idea about the "sales strategy" Well looks like we are moving anyway! Our house has been "officially" sold! We will still be in Bega though. I sent an email through the website on Sunday, upon which I forgot some questions, and found out the site was down, so emailed on the Info@ one the second time I think! We are getting a loan to pay off all our credit cards So hopefully that will be approved (sick of having credit cards all over hte place, all wanting money at the same time!) If that does go ahead, then all bar one CC will be cut up and cancelled, and hte last one will have the limit go down to just cover the Thermomix & Access!! Yey! I looked into the financing, and interest on it was pretty dear (the same as cash advance on CC) so thought it was just easier to do it this way! So should know on Thursday! Hopefully they will get back to me and I can have a local person (hopefully ) that I can chat to, and get them in for a demo asap in our box-filled house! Then I can use the Thermomix as soon as we move into the new place! I don't think theres a big enoguh smiley in hte emoticon reportoire for what I am feeling! This will help my wrists soo much! Not to mention another hand with all the kiddies around!!! Just so I know, what exactly from A-Z do I need to have for the Demo? (So I don't pack any of it ) I know about the persihables, but anything like plates, bowls servers what have you, knives etc???

I thought some of you here may know how long it takes for Thermomix Australia to respond to your emails? I sent 1 on Sunday and 1 on Monday (after I saw website problems) I know the common thing is to phone, but with 3 noisy kidlets, its hard to find an "in business hours" time when its quiet enough to phone, the same reason why I was trying to find out if I could purchase without a demo, then demo would be lost on us I'm afraid Too many noisy kidlets to pay attention for more than a minute to the poor person doing the demo!

Hi Everyone, I am 24, a mum to three living in Aus! I haven't purchased just yet But am very very interested ! I was upset at first as to why nobody told me something like this existed! I have emailed Thermomix Australia, but thought I would add some more questions here. How do I purchase if I am not located near a consultant (which I very much doubt, being rural I am never close to anything ROFL) I heard about the payment plan over 4 years...Is there a down deposit? And any extra fees/interest for paying it off early? And what does the payment work out to be monthly? Are the accessories (i.e. extra jug/mixer, thermosever & cleaning brush) readily/easily available to purchased? Is there any deals for getting to Thermomixers? And what are the prices of all of these (like Kirby (which I love & own) it is very hard to find out prices from the website. Whats about parts? Does it have to be sent back to Germany or hte Aus Head Office for bearing replacments? Or are hte bearing easy to get & replace? What about convincing hubby? (a total meatlover) that this is a worthwhile investment? Thanks, can't wait to hear yoru replies, I am super excited! xxxx
