Hi Sophie - I DO trust you receive it in time. I was TOTALLY impatient in getting mine - over 2 years & 3 months ago now. All the best & Happy Christmas Cathryn P.S. Would TOTALLY appreciate a Vote & Share for my Christmas Menu Idea as the winner receives a THERMOMIX, hehe - - closes 21 December & I've only just entered, WAY behind the competition, but, nevertheless I'll still try! I have a dear friend who's going through a really rough patch & she simply loves cooking, and is totally envious of my Thermomix & the help it gives me in the kitchen. Thought it would be a great idea for me to act as a Secret Santa! THANKS & here's the link: http://www.facebook.com/krcastlemaine?sk=app_293696650653351

After much deliberation, we have called ours Heston
JB
Wanda, 'cos she really does wander across the bench when I assign a particularly heavy duty for her.

Hi Gretchen - thanks for reply - and for the hint for the failed rostis. I have a big bag in the freezer, but am running out of "Sunday's'' to use them up! We are moving home in less than 2 weeks, & despite having the TMX for a couple of weeks & experimenting heavily (hence a freezer full of food) - the removalists will be taking my freezer overnight so everything has to be eaten or otherwise disposed of! ALAS, hubby & I are on a PROPER weight reducing campaign through our local GP so we can't even be tempted to eat up & I'm reticent to offer extra food to my boys for fear of them eating too much. Perhaps I should invite several classmates of theirs around for an afternoon party, I'm sure they'll soon demolish it, especially the fete type goodies I've been testing out in the TMX. Will post a few pics if that happens, lol.
BIG FABRIC SLIPPERS, yes, I'll put that onto my goal list, thanks Kathryn - we have the same spelling apart from YOUR Kathryn starting with a K, mine with a C!
We attended a demo in Launceston at the beginning of the week, it went really well! I LOVED the expressions on the faces of the elderly ladies sitting in the front row, seeing the cream turn into butter & then into buttermilk! They were taken quite aback at the ease of preparation etc. for making cakes & jams.
Okay, must head back to the kitchen to use up some more ingredients.
P.S. Just used Wanda to whip up a little last minute dressing to finish off my Salt & Pepper Squid - very yummy!

hi tasbell - I'm in the North, you're in the South, aren't you?? I used to live down there, in Sandy Bay & Cremorne, but thas was quite a few years ago now (then to Sydney, back to Hobart, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sisters Beach Tasmania & now back in my birth town, Launceston, lol. We're moving house in 3 weeks, but only several blocks away, extra close to city (2 min. walk to City, Aquatic Centre, etc. etc.) Can't wait, but naturally lots of packing & unpacking ahead. School holidays atm, & boys are already ratty so I expect the time will pass super quick & before we know it we'll be moved!
Cheers, Cathryn

`LOL - 10 & 1/2 E - woa, one day I may make some fabric slippers for BIG Feet!
Oh, I wasn't going to sell the jam at the market, maybe I'll just try & sell her a Wanda of her own (she may even be a closet Thermomixer, as I don't know how she does it!) I'm wanting to make sweets & cakes for the market as well as my other crafts.

LOL - thanks for the amusing welcomes! DIL's - mmm, they'll definitely need their own Wanda to satisfy my 4 boys needs - let alone living up to my expectations. No, I won't be a horrible MIL, I hope - BUT my boys will naturally want their own BIMBO, oops, I meant BIMBY - after they start to love Wanda too.
About the Potato Rosti - I wasn't very impressed unfortunatley. Youngest son Finn said they were nice, but he didn't ask for a 2nd serving. My 9 y.o. Reef, didn't like it whatsoever! They cooked exactly like pikelets do, but not enough taste & absorbed too much oil when cooked in frypan. I think the recipe needs a good tweaking. Nevertheless, the heaps of leftover rostis weren't thrown out but frozen, not to be reheated & eaten in their current state, but to throw in with soups etc., as a thickener & instead of using potato. I did this on the weekend when making a Lentil, Chickpea & Broad Bean Soup, as an experiment.
Made a few things today - another Pizza Dough (using my own dough recipe, which I find foolproof), traditional icecream, berry milkshakes, strawberry milkshake & I've just finished consuming a rather delightful & delectable Scallop, Lemon & Spinach Risotto which I devised & adapted to Wanda about an hour ago. I'm extremely pleased with it & now I better write down my method & ings., before I forget them. I took a quick pic which I'll post here shortly, after I select one. I'm slightly passionate about my cooking, and photograph virtually all my home cooking, much to my husband's bemusement.
Have a great night - cheers!!

OH DEAR, ummmmm, didn't mean to come across x-rated, lol - perhaps there's something missing in my life & Wanda has fulfilled it? Or perhaps I just needed another female in my life, I'm married with 4 sons - 26 y.o., 24 y.o., 9 y.o. & 6 y.o. - is all the testosterone getting to me??

Loving my new Thermomix! It's been 4 days now, since I bought then brought my new baby (TMX) home. Her name is Wanda, and I really hope she never wanders - except for the odd skip & a jump across the bench when we have serious workouts to accomplish.
I won't reveal how many dishes Wanda & I have whipped up over the past 4 days, it's rather embarassing - but let's just say we've had some hot & heavy sessions.
Looking forward to advancing my foodie skills with the assistance of my new apprentice, Wanda - may we create many wonderful eating experiences together (and improve my children's eating habits, as well, lol).
Cheers!
