Thanks for the feedback guys.
I will be sure to check out those links when I'm home next weekend and whip up another batch. You're certainly right too Judy, I would have never made bread prior to owning a TM. DH isn't feeling too clever today but I'm blaming the burgers ;-) 4

Hi Jessica, welcome to the forum. I've only been a member here for a couple months but the recipes and help is invaluable.
Hopefully your machine will be here soon. I'm in the UK and waited three working days for it. 5
Thanks for the links Judy. The first one shows the Varoma lined with paper most of the time. Is this the best method for cooking meat? I tried chicken in it this week but it stuck to the tray and didn't cook very evenly.
I should probably mention, my cooking skills are lacking. Our purchase of a TM was to try and encourage cooking fresh rather than processed. 6

DH and I have wanted to get some geckos for a while but we both work away during the week for up to 4 nights. Whilst my parents love dog sitting, they're not too keen on lizards!
Today has been a productive day. Woke up at 11am (not that productive), spent a few hours typing up letters and going online changing my name. It's only taken 2 months to get around to. Booked my car in for a service. Went food shopping. Took dog for a jog. Made bread buns. Rearranged the freezer and made our meal menu for the next two weeks. Just about to settle down to watch Hobbit (first one) Phew! 8

We've had our TM for little over a month now and whenever we're home, I'm cooking in it.
Today was my first attempt at bread buns to accompany some chilli burgers made by my DH. The buns were dense and doughy inside but they tasted yummy. The recipe uses milk rather than water so I'm unsure if that had anything to do with the result or if it was in the proving. Can I ask, where is best to prove bread? We don't have an airing cupboard so I use my oven at 50 degrees Celsius and leave uncovered. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the result but need to do further research before attempting again. P.S. Just checked out Eden foods as we're also in the UK.
Looks really good and not far off the price we are already paying for her food. Just one question, what's the difference between small and medium kibble? 11

I've used it once to steam veg at the demonstration but to be honest, it's a lot quicker/easier to steam veg packets in the microwave.
What I should do is spend an hour or so chopping up veg, putting them in portion sized bags and freezing. When I fancy some, pop the varoma on and empty the bag in. However, it's just another thing I need to do on my list 12
Hi all. Thanks for the advice.
We're going to swap out her food tomorrow. Rather ironically, the food we're currently feeding her on states on the bag "reduces flatulence" ha! We've not changed her food, just stopped her treats. Maybe she's eating more as a consequence though. Got a scented candle lit in the room now which seems to be masking some (not all) of the smell. Fingers crossed for the new food. Thanks again everyone 13

Nothing to do with Thermomix so hope I'm not breaking any rules but I'm hoping fellow dog owners can help me out with something.
Our doggie developed a couple of lumps recently so we took her to the vets last week to check her out. These lumps turned out to be fat and she's 5kg over weight. Should be 25 and she's 30. We've recently both started working away so Grandma has been chief dog sitter for the past 4 months and therefore she's been getting very spoilt with treats etc. Anyway, we've stopped all treats now and started to weigh out her food (dry complete). Since then, she's done nothing but fart and smells sooo bad! I don't get how stopping her treats can be the cause of this. Without taking another trip to the vets, does anyone have any advice?
