I understand it is. Doesn't have the digital controls. Timer is 30 mins. I find it seems to take longer to cook although I use the 200 degrees temp. Smaller capacity. But hasn't shut down like the XL. If I have any problems with it I'll let you know.

I returned my XL fryer as it kept turning off. Phillips said it was a known fault. Loved it but now have the original one. Not as good but it has been reliable. I might try again in a year or two. Hopefully they will have fixed it by then :(

Hi All, I cooked Johnro's Gourmet Beef Casserole tonight, with Quirky Cooking's coconut milk rice, and steamed veges. For dessert we had thermomix vanilla custard. Definitely a fav to add to my collection. :D
