Help has anyone ever put water into the bowl with out the blade being in properly? Hubby thought it was together properly but it wasn't. So there was water coming out under the thermie. Any help appreciated.

I have mixed these up this morning and currently have then in the oven cooking. Fingers crossed it works. Mixture was a bit moist and I found it hard to get out of the thermie. Any suggestions for that? Also have any of you ever tried cooking scones in the slow cooker instead of the oven? My cousin has been doing heaps of cooking in the slow cooker and has made scrolls from scone mixture. She cooks them in the SC for 2 hours on low. So if you are having someone come for morning tea you can prepare it hours earlier put it in the slow cooker and serve when they arrive. Your scones will be hot and delicious.

Introduce Yourself / Re: Reluctant cook« on: January 25, 2014, 02:13:07 pm »
OMG I thought I was reading my own thoughts when I read your intro. I too have hated cooking for some time now. I have been to three demo's and decided to take up the interest free deal. Hubby didn't want to entertain the idea at all saying it would be just another contraption in the pantry.
Well I ignored him (so glad I did) and went ahead with it anyway. Its been a week now since Thermie was delivered and guess who has used it more than I have!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yep the hubby!! So I have not had a chance to use it much (he has been on holidays from work and when I have gotten home has had something cooking) but I have made custard and tonight I made the Cashew chicken from the EDCB. Looking forward to sharing with you all. cheers KA 7
Introduce Yourself / new thermie owner« on: January 25, 2014, 02:08:08 pm »
Hello all my name is Kerrie-Anne and I am from Gladstone QLD. Just got my thermie a week ago and so far hubby has used it more than I have. I have made custard and tonight cooked Cashew Chicken from the EDC. Have had fun browsing around the forum and looking at recipes and all I can say is WOW. I hope to be able to learn to adapt some old fav's of mine into thermie recipes. Thanks to all those who have shared.
Cheers KA
