new thermie owner
« on: January 25, 2014, 02:08:08 pm »
Hello all my name is Kerrie-Anne and I am from Gladstone QLD. Just got  my thermie a week ago and so far hubby has used it more than I have. I have made custard and tonight cooked Cashew Chicken from the EDC. Have had fun browsing around the forum and looking at recipes and all I can say is WOW. I hope to be able to learn to adapt some old fav's of mine into thermie recipes. Thanks to all those who have shared.
Cheers KA

Welcome justka. Let him go. Men love toys and cooking is a science. If you're working just ooh and ah and when you're up to it you can cook, but I would encourage him every step of the way

Hi KA, welcome to the forum. I never thought I'd be able to convert recipes but once you've done the first one, the others just seem to come naturally.  The secret is to write the recipe out as you think it needs to be done then adjust the times as you go.  Always write down every step otherwise you won't remember the exact times, especially if there are lots of steps in the recipe.

Have fun, it's nice to hear DH is enjoying it too.

Welcome to the forum KA. The fact that your DH is enjoying the thermomix is wonderful, although I can understand you wanting to 'have a turn' as well.
