That makes sense about the salt content preventing freezing - I'm starting my chemistry unit for my degree next semester so now I will be one step ahead of the other students :-) the chia bread is so delicious, went really well with butter and cashew spread. Thanks for the tip about muffling with a towel! Great idea. I used to hide in the walk-in pantry to use the food processor and could possibly move the thermomix in there, but given the amount of time we are spending together I'd prefer it to be out in the open! Hiding in the pantry with my lover is the way that rumours start!

I made cauliflower rice, Thai red chicken curry (from EDC), raw chocolate with almonds (Quirky Jo's recipe)... Um what else... Natural New Age Mum's Apricot and Coconut slice and Almond Chia Bread! I'm sure there was more but that's all I can remember. Oh and more EDC veggie stock as I tried to freeze my last batch in silicone ice cube trays and it wouldn't freeze? Weird.

Thanks everyone! And thanks for helping with Thermiefan's cada question.

Can you believe I have been cooking non-stop since yesterday morning. I even dreamed about the goodies I could whip up.

Glad to hear it kmw - when it's stirring or beating she isn't concerned but it's the noisy chopping that DD freaks out over.  I will give it a bit more time for DD to get used to our noisy new friend.

Any hope for the three-year-old not being terrified of it? Between the jealousy (DH) and the screams of terror (DD) it's set the cat amongst the pigeons a bit.

Thanks Astarra - very glad the two can coexist. I sensed a bit of rivalry as I was prepping for dinner :-)

Thanks for the welcome! DH grew up in Germany and always bangs on about how they are amazing engineers... And he's suitably impressed thus far. I really should let him have a go!

Thought I would introduce myself - I'm Allison, and I'm aware that it's probably not legal to marry my Thermomix, but after a week of cohabitation, I think we're a match made in heaven. Poor DH thinks he has been made redundant :-) I've had my Thermomix for 5 days and I've used it at least once every day since then. I'm finding it so helpful to make basics that I otherwise have to go to the shops for - almond meal and milk, butter, muesli (how freaking awesome is cada?!), stock... I can't believe I lived for this long without a Thermomix!

We eat mostly Paleo (plus full fat dairy) in our house so I've already been reading up on the Paleo recipe thread - there are some gems in there!

Anyway, I've been reading up on the various recipes and tips on the site, and I'm excited to eventually contribute some of my own recipes and experiences. Looking forward to getting to know some fellow devotees!
