I am making butter for the first time. I want to add some salt and oil but don't know which kind of oil, and also how much salt and oil to add. I only used 300ml of cream because that's what I had.

I ended up having it on toast this morning with sliced banana on top, and it was delicious!

This was my first attempt at any kind of nut butter. It was easy to make, and tasty, but needed a lot more oil than was stated in the recipe. Mine is still probably a bit dry, but I got nervous pouring so much oil in! I did use the honey as suggested, but I also added a little salt, as this is for me and not a child. I'm not sure if processing it for longer would have a better result and negate the need to add more oil? I look forward to having this on ryvitas for lunch tomorrow. Linked CC

Thanks for the tip Judydawn. I have been cooking up a storm today, some things in the thermomix and some not, but have spent most of the day in the kitchen! I love baking.

Thanks for the welcome! First question - if I want to review a recipe that hasn't been done yet, where do I post it? And would I put the recipe name and book in the subject? Thanks.

I have made this twice in the last 4 days! I measure out the ingredients the night before, so that when I get home from the gym in the morning I can quickly make it up. Delicious! I also halve the recipe, as nobody else in my house will try a green drink.

Made these for my big kids tonight instead of serving veggies on their plates. My fussiest didn't like it but everyone else did. Nice texture, and I'm looking forward to trying them cold tomorrow.

I made these tonight and they were a hit! My kids are 7 and 9 and they both loved them. Served them with the veggie slice from this book, and some chips. I used basa as it was a good price, and the texture was really nice.

Hi! My name is Karen and I'm from WA. I've had my thermomix for over 2 years now, have been visiting this forum pretty much since day 1 for recipes and advice, and have finally got around to signing up! I am looking forward to contributing. Haven't been part of a forum for at least 5 years, so hopefully it all comes back to me!
