There I was thinking Premium meat will make the dish so much better but I was wrong.  Next time I will tell my butcher what I want it for and get a different type of cut or meat.  I will def check it 10 minutes b4 the finish time too.

Thanks guys!

Hi guys.

I am loving the New Meat Cookbook especially with the cooler weather it has some great winter warmer meals.  I made the Lamb Korma and the Curry the other night.  It tasted good, flavours and all and the smell was great however it seemed to have mushed up the meat chunks into tiny bits and pieces.  The veggies seemed to be overcooked and mushy too.  I made sure I used the reverse function and had the temp set right, I even purchased top grade quality meat.  Hmmm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if so what can I do next time to prevent this. ???

Thanks Ceejay & Maddy!

I had a lot of fun making them and Hubby ate 5 in one sitting!  So I am guessing they turned out ok.   :-))
Maddy I pretty much replaced the citrus peel & raisins with the choc chips.  90-100 gms.
I found that they only took about 12 minutes in the oven as the recipe said 10-15 min and I could see they were darkening very quickly so removed them.  I was scared that they would be cooked on the outside and not inside but they worked out fine.  Better than the ones you buy in the supermarket that's for sure and NO Preservatives which I love!!!

Only just got my Thermomix delivered today.  Am super excited and wasn't sure what to make first.

I have just made my first batch of Hot Cross Buns.  I did make a few changes however.  I left out the citrus peel as not a fan and added Choc chips instead of the raisins.  Just to make it more healthy!!!!!!  Ok so now I have to wait an hour for it to rise b4 I continue and get them into the oven.  Will let you all know how I go and will try and take a pic.  Fingers crossed they turn out.  What normally would take half an hour or more took me less than 10 minutes.....AMAZING!!!

Def will do the veg stock concentrate.  It's the base to many recipes I have heard.
I always do make rissotto's the old fashion LONG way so can't wait to do it in the TM.

Hi all!

Just wanted to introduce myself.  My name is Trish from Adelaide SA and it's been a long wait but today I finally received my very own Thermomix!  Thanks to my wonderful mum who has helped me afford it.  Both my sister, mum and a group of her friends all have their own and I have been to many thermomix cooking demo's always drooling and wishing I had one.  Today my dreams have come true!!!
My husband (A Chef) has always grumbled about such an appliance.  (Typical chef likes his old school methods in the kitchen)  Well I will SHOW Him.....hehehhee  I bet he won't complain when meals are served in front of him each and every day/night.  Anyway I do ALL the cooking at home!  Somewhere I got ripped off being married to a chef and all!
But my gosh the question is.....What is the first thing I should make????  Soooo many things I want to try!!!
Looking forward to chatting with you all and sharing recipes.
Wish me luck!!  ;)
