Chit Chat / Varoma demo« on: June 01, 2012, 08:58:10 am »
Hi,
Does anyone know what the incentive for the varoma demo is this month. I got an email regarding demo incentives, but they didn't mention the varoma demos. Does that mean there isn't one this month? 3
News about Thermomix / Re: Unbelieveable thermomix deal for $699. Is this legit?« on: March 31, 2012, 03:30:13 am »
Re PayPal: I have heard some people say you are protected by both and the bank coughed up when PayPal didnt. I have also heard from bank workers that you don't get protection from then as your dealing is through PayPal- you authorized the bank to give paypal money to pass on. They did so. Therefore the bank owes you nothing as you got service you paid for.

Recipe Requests / Soy and linseed bread« on: March 26, 2012, 05:16:11 am »
I know it seems an obvious one but I've been looking online and not only are there no thermomix recipes that I can find, but the "normal" recipes are confusing me. I'm looking for one like in the stores.
For normal recipes I've found ones with whole soya beans and others with soya flour or soy milk comprising the soy bit. Which do i use? So if anyone has a recipe to share, would love to give it a go. Thanks, 5
Chit Chat / Re: Look what Target has ....« on: March 21, 2012, 09:54:37 pm »
Apparently target posted on their FB page a reply saying that the new machines Coming in have a software update to prevent burning?? Huh? What would that do? I would have thought they needed to fix the distribution of heat? Either that or improve the mixing of food (again design). I suppose they could turn down the heat or increase blade speed in the programming, but I would think you would just change the recipe book (especially since they are doing that anyway).
Oh for those that bought one- apparently you can exchange for the updated version, of you think that would help. 6
Tips and Tricks / Almond pulp tips?« on: March 10, 2012, 08:45:41 pm »
I've recently discovered how wonderful almond milk is (woot), but I'm a bit lost with what to do with my leftover almond pulp. I've heard that I can dry it out, then put it back in the TM to make almond flour, but I use the recipe from the "a taste of vegetarian" cookbook, which has dates and vanilla essence in it. So I assume that is out.
I've heard to put it in chunks in the oven to make a muesli ingredient/topping. All that hsppened to mine is that it burned on the top peaks and remained soft. All the recipes I find out there seem to be more for the vegan/raw foodie crowd, and much as I like the idea, I find it not to my taste. I don't have a dehydrator. Can I use it as almond flour and just reduce the wet ingredients. If so, how much by? Any other ideas for using the rest? 7
Chit Chat / Hiding vegetables« on: January 13, 2012, 10:28:44 am »
I'm still a thermomix newbie. One of the reasons I got it was to encourage our family to eat better and healthier foods. I do have a vegie phobic daughter and husband though and was wondering what everyones favourite thermomix dishes are for hiding vegetables?
Sorry if it has been asked many times before I had a look with the search feature and couldn't see any threads covering it. Thanks 8
