Welcome back Lindsay. And congratulations on your new baby. Also glad to hear your DH is in remission. What ages are your other children?
DD's are 10 & 3 and DS's are 7 & 4.5 months, sometimes it's great living in PNG, 3 older kids are at school and my haus meri has taken the baby for a walk :-)

My bowl just looks a little discoloured where everything sticks, I think I used a none scratch scourer !

I've obviously burnt the bottom of my TM bowl at some point because now every time I use it food sticks to the bottom. This morning I've made biscuits and the flour again has stuck to it! Does anyone have any tips on what I could or should do? Or do I need to invest in another bowl?

Thank you for all your lovely messages. DH is doing really well thank you and is in remission Life is always a challenge in PNG, especially when it comes to cooking as we have limited fresh food to choose from! Unfortunately I'm not very creative when it comes to cooking so I do struggle.

I'm back getting inspiration from the forum. I've just had my miracle baby number 4 (a miracle because after 6 months of very strong chemo, my husband was told he was sterile!) I'm now enjoying cooking again and am now looking for good puréed recipes for my little boy

Does anyone know a good tomato ketchup recipe that doesn't require plums? I can't get plums at the moment.

I made the easy chocolate cake today for Playgroup and salt dough for the kiddies to play with this morning. My chocolate cake went down a treat, I added 100g of chocolate bits to it which made it even nicer. Unfortunately the ants also enjoyed it and I had to throw the rest in the bin :-( not to worry though, I just went home and made another one, this time with white and chocolate bits and because the oven was hot I decided to make some chocolate chip cookies.

He is 6. Moving to a 3rd world country did worry me which shouldn't have done, I'm just so glad I invested in my TMX, it has made life so much easier, the hard choice now is just trying to decide what to cook with the ingredients I can get hold of.

Can you make butter from UHT cream? I don't really want to experiment as we can't get cream very often and when we can get it, it's either thickened cream, which the recipes say shouldn't be used or UHT cream.

I freeze everything, including my flour. (I live on Lihir island in PNG and if I don't freeze things I'll either get weevils or things go off very quickly!) if you do freeze flour and you are going to make dough just make sure it's at room temperature otherwise it doesn't rise, as I have recently found out!

I think I might have turned a corner with my extremely fussy son, nearly everything I've made in my TMX he has eaten and has asked for more! I made a chicken risotto tonight and he even ate that. I made bolognaise sauce for a pasta bake a few days ago, he initially turned his nose up but when he tried it he asked if he could take some to school the following day and he wasn't bothered it would be cold! Everyone is going to think I exaturate but I really don't care

I tried the choc chip cookies with chick peas, they went down a treat my 3 kids and all their friends. I'll definitely be making those again

Thank you for the warm welcome everyone. I'm going to have a go today at making the chocolate chip cookies with chick peas, I'll let you know how I get on and when I find red kidney beans I'm going to have a go at making the chocolate cake. I can't wait to feed them to my tribe and see what they think
