Recipe Book Recipe Reviews / Re: Alyce Alexandra's Low Carb Cookbook
« on: July 16, 2013, 01:26:59 am »
This book is now available as an e-book. I just bought it at the iTunes Store. I'm looking forward to taking a look at it on my iPad  ;D

I also made these for a children's picnic day. I added about half a cup of Cadbury choc buds and decorated with a few on top of the cream cheese icing. They were really yummy and enjoyed by both the kids and mums. I found them to be a little oily on the bottom though so will be cutting back on the oil next time.

Jams and Chutneys / Re: Fresh Coriander Chutney from agpest
« on: April 17, 2013, 09:30:42 am »
Just made this chutney. Was super easy and tastes great.
I had to use up a whole heap of coriander leaves and stems I had left over from making curry paste and this was perfect.
Thanks
Nikki  :D

An amazing success in our household. Served it with steamed Jasmine Rice and Broccolini done in the varoma. My 6yr old twin boys asked for seconds!!! Will definitely be making this one again.

Made these last night to feed 7 adults and two kids. I upped the chicken breasts to 4 and swapped the olives for 250g sliced mushrooms. This made enough filling for 16 tortillas (shop bought normal size). Served them along side more sour cream, home made guacamole and home made hot salsa. The whole meal was a huge hit with all the adults and the 6yr olds. It was a perfect amount with one left over for my lunch today :)
Will definitely make these again.
Oh also a great make ahead dish. I made them first thing in the morning, popped them in the fridge for the day then reheated in the oven until hot before serving.

Introduce Yourself / Hi everyone :)

Hello Everybody,

I am new to the thermomix world, but have been lurking on here for weeks now.  ;D I live in Mount Isa QLD and bought my Thermomix back in June. Before my consultant had the opportunity to deliver it to me, my Husband's company decided to send him and our family to Chile, Sth America for a 3 month contract. We are due back in Australia next Sunday and I have already booked my demo in for the 13th Sept. Yay!! I really can't wait to get going with my new toy. I have spent the last 2.5 months surfing the internet and checking out cool recipes and blogs. There is so many things I want to try.

I have found this forum simply amazing and feel like I know so many of you already.  :D

Anyway when I get back I won't have much time to play as we are moving to Perth (home) at the start of October and I have to get the move organised. I'm so excited about moving home and being in a City again. We have been in QLD for 12 years now. I'm hoping I can make it to some cooking classes and demo's.

Cheers
Nikki
