I have been making this fudge for a few years (without the salt) and was about to try doing it but was unsure about converting. I figured my best bet was to check here before attempting it and sure enough somebody had done it. Thank You Thank You Thank You

Oh Leo is utterly adorable! Surely I'm not the only one who desperately wants a lamb now? My misses 3 & 5 would certainly love it and I think DP would be just as besotted

Wow!!! Thank you I hope you enjoy your dessert tonight I have another recipe for a peanut butter and brownie trifle which I am hoping to use this custard for as well, the original recipe used that vanilla instant pudding stuff they seem so be so fond of in America. In this one you layer chunks of chocolate brownies and peanut butter cups with the peanut butter flavoured custard. DROOL!!!

I'd love some advice on this one, I have come across a recipe that I would love to try, but I'm still a little inexperienced in converting methods for the TMX. The recipe has a biscuit crumb base then a peanut butter custard filling and topped with whipped cream, peanut butter cups and chocolate syrup! My DP will be putty in my hands if I make him this Below are the ingredients and method for the custard filling. The quantities have been converted from US cups and halved, I thought the original amounts would be too much for the TMX, there were 6 US of milk alone I'm a little unsure if I should put everything in together or do the first part and add the eggs later as per the original method. Any advice will be appreciated. Peanut Butter Custard Blast 170g sugar 40g cornstarch 30g plain flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 750ml 2% milk 3 egg yolks, beaten 90g creamy peanut butter For filling, in a large saucepan, combine the sugar, cornstarch, flour and salt. Stir in milk until smooth. Cook and stir over medium-high heat until thickened and bubbly. Reduce heat; cook and stir 2 minutes longer. Remove from the heat. Stir a small amount of hot mixture into egg yolks; return all to pan, stirring constantly. Bring to a gentle boil; cook and stir 2 minutes longer. Remove from the heat. Stir 1 cup into peanut butter until smooth. Gently stir peanut butter mixture into the pan. Pour over crust.

Queen Be, am I right in thinking it is your birthday as well as your Christmas in July party this coming Saturday.
Yes my Birthday is this Saturday, I started the Christmas in July party as a way of having a Birthday party without having a Birthday party Thanks everyone for the kind thoughts. My brother also has 2 boys aged 10 and 8 also. So very hard at the moment, my parents who are in their mid 70's are doing much of the running around for the kids, school drop off and pick up, sport, dancing etc etc, unfortunately they are in Sydney and I am 90 minutes away on the Central Coast. The least I can do is have my niece for the school holiday, she and my oldest DD are only 5 weeks apart and very close though.

What a lovely DH you have Hally, enjoy your holiday Sorry I have been MIA for a few weeks, school holidays have kept me extremely busy and I have not been on-line much. I had had my 5 year old niece staying with me last week, her mum (my brothers partner) has cancer and is terminal. I tried to keep her busy so she did not miss her Mum and Dad too much, lots of outings to the playground and friends houses and lots of buying lunches. My plan was to spend $250 a fortnight and in the first 2 weeks I ended up spending around $260, happy with that. I have my Birthday Christmas In July party this coming Saturday for around 25 people and I have been spending money on extra items in preparation. I had a budget of $200 for the party food, I bought a frozen 5.5kg turkey breast for $55 and a 4kg ham for $24, which gives me $120 left for everything else, I think I will be coming in way under budget as I did the mini Christmas puddings 2 months ago and I already have most of the ingredients for the other desserts on the menu. Lots of money left for some bubbles for me We will probably be eating leftovers in various ways the following week so should not have to spend anything apart for fresh fruit and milk.

My favourite vegetables are corn and sugar snap peas because they are yummy, eggplant and pumpkin because they're so versatile, broccoli and mushrooms because they are so good for you.
Not sure how I will go with the challenge this week as I have already done the menu plan and shopping for the week. I will need to watch my portion size, make good choices for breakfast and lunch and limit my bread intake. I realised early this year that if I eat bread more than once a day it has a negative affect on my weight loss. If I have a high protein breakfast, a carb lunch and pack my evening meal with lots of vegetables or just have soup then I lose much more weight even if I have used less or the same WW points. Anyone else noticed this?

Can I join this challenge please I am another weight watcher worker, I work at one meeting a week and my GL/boss was the person who invited me to the TMX demo leading me here, make sense? When I joined 2.5 years ago I originally lost around 11kg getting down to 77ish kg, since then I have gained and lost 4-5kg a number of times and was 80.2 at my last weigh in. At almost 6 feet tall I just scrape into my healthy weight range (HWR), my goal weight was 72 but honestly I would be happy with 75. Being in my HWR resulted in me losing motivation to keep going, getting my TMX (Alice) and going on a bit of a cooking spree (bread is not my friend) is not helping Looking forward to going through this thread and finding some good recipes so I can play with Alice and still lose weight

I have used the sourdough rye mix in the bread machine in the past but was never 100% happy with it as it was always so sticky I don't think my machine ever baked it long enough. After seeing Cookie's pic I might have to try it again as that looks nothing like what I got, that looks YUMMY!!

Queen Be, welcome to the challenge. What is your budget per week?
Thank you. We get paid fortnightly so I am working on $250 a fortnight for myself, DP and our two girls aged 3 and 5.

This weeks spend has been $186.73 which leaves me with $63.27 for fruit, veg, eggs, milk etc top ups. I have more than enough meat, chicken and fish in the freezer to last and plenty of pantry and fridge staples as well. Hopefully my girls don't eat everything too quickly but you never know what they are going to go for, they like to keep me on my toes and change the rules often $40, a big chunk of my budget, was spent of 3 cases of coke zero for my DP, he has a couple a day and if I don't buy them this way he buys then anywhere and can spend over $6 a day this works out a 59c a can and should last a month. Love the pantry shots, I should take one of mine tomorrow

Just made my first batch of coconut milk for tonight's green curry, smelled so good as it was cooking. The curry was ok, flavour was good but I used frozen hoki fillets which really just fell apart while cooking. I am sure there is a better method here somewhere but I did not have time to do a search and just used the method in the EDC for the red chicken curry. On the up side my 5 year old LOVED it, she polished off one bowl and asked for more
