Questions? Technical Issues? The Survival Guide / Using 240v Thermomix in USA (120v) with voltage adapter - any experience?

Hi,
I am moving from Australia to the US and I want to take my thermomix (purchased in Australia, 240v) with me. Does anyone have any experience with using the thermomix with a voltage adapter? Or do you know if the same machine can run on both voltages? It will be a pain to have to run it from a big adapter... but there is no way I am going to leave it behind!
