Great recipe. Both my daughter and I loved it. Not too sweet. I forgot to set aside the milled almonds and sesame seeds but it didn't seem to matter.  The batter seemed thick and dry but the finished product turned out lovely.  I baked in a normal cupcake pan. One batch made 11 cupcakes. They were ready in 20mins.  I will be making these again.  Next time I will try 1/2 wholemeal SR flour and add a little extra milk.

This is a nice recipe, but I'm not sure if it's an 'adult' or 'family meal' as it states.  It seems Louise has tried to avoid salt and added lemon instead. I love lemon and could eat them by themselves so I didn't mind he flavour, but the hubby kept saying there was something "weird" about it. My 21mo seemed to like it. She is not fussy though and will pretty much eat anything.

I did use quirky cooking a chicken stock and not the one in the book so I'm not sure if that made a difference.

Great, simple recipe. Very tasty and easy to make. It also makes a great size 'hand roll' for a toddler to manage.

I tried these for the first time yesterday and they were nice but needed the maple syrup.  I didn't have any creme fraiche so didn't use. They seemed quite a thick pancake too, so if you like a thin pancake you may want oto add a little milk. I think next time I will whizz the apple for a little longer (so the skin is broken up a little more), add some auger or maple syrup to the mixture and omit drizzling on them after.  Overall quite nice

Chit Chat / Re: Problem with the scale on thermie
« on: November 10, 2012, 10:27:13 am »
Thanks guys,

Everything else seems to be working. I just went back and gave it yet another clean and they seem to be working again, though are 10-15g out. I've emailed my consultant. Hopefully I'll get it sorted soon.

Chit Chat / Problem with the scale on thermie
« on: November 10, 2012, 09:58:44 am »
Has anyone had problems with their scale on their thermie?  I often had problems with mine measuring incorrectly but tonight it started counting up even with nothing in the bowl. It managed to count to 250g!

I've only had it since June and always keep the chord extended.  I also clean and rotate the feet on a regular basis and the bench in level, clean and dry.  I've tried turning it off and on.  Pulling the bowl in and out.  I've cleaned and re-cleaned, moved the chord and spun the feet.

Has anyone else had this? Help!

Chit Chat / Steam oven/combi steam oven who has one?
« on: October 25, 2012, 12:15:53 pm »
I'm in the process of designing my dream kitchen for when we build and was wondering if anyone owns a steam oven or combi steam oven. If so how do you find it? Do you use it often?  I'm thinking of getting a regular oven plus a combi steam oven but would live some opinions.

Thanks  :)

Thanks  :) :)

Thanks for the recipe judydawn.  I made it today and daughter and I both love it. I'm still waiting for hubby to get home so he can try it. I think it may become one of our weekly meals.

Chit Chat / Spinach & silverbeet what should I cook?
« on: August 27, 2012, 12:42:43 pm »
I need some inspiration. I have two packs of baby spinach and a bunch of silverbeet. I'm after some good recipe ideas that hubby and a 1 year old will eat (both aren't too fussy). Thanks in advance.

Chit Chat / Thermomix and Kitchen aid - does anyone own both?
« on: August 14, 2012, 01:07:27 pm »
I was just wondering as I'm thinking I may need a kitchenaid for mixing baking goods. I'm only new to tmx but I've tried a couple of cakes and tonight I made some cookie dough and it doesn't seem to mix as well as a mixer. Has anyone found this?

Introduce Yourself / Re: Hi from Cloudy Melbourne.

Hi Thermomixers,

So far I've made;
A few different types of bread
Pizza base
Cakes
Risottos
Curry paste
Vege stock
Soup
Custard
Stewed apples
Porridge
Yoghurt

I tried the butter chicken from the EDC but found it really bland. How does the Indian cookbook compare?  Would love a review

Hubby and daughter will eat just about everything though my daugher has constipation problems so we're trying to stay away from dairy and wheat. I'd love some great vegie recipes.

 :)

Hi Thermomixers,

I've owned my Thermomix for a few months now and am looking for some inspiration. I'm trying to find yummy meals that my hubby and 12month old can eat too. Looking forward to chatting to you all  :)
