Sadly just made these and dissappointed too. Tasted too salty, dry on outside but not coked in the middle. Will have to throw them out and was planning to take them to a bring plate function. Should have stuck to a tried and tested recipe!

Just mad these - they are lovely and light. Personally I would prefer a bit of texture so would add some pecans or walnuts or maybe some icing. But a super easy recipe with tasty results! As knitter cook said, would be a lovely dessert with caramel sauce ( and ice cream!)

Hi, can someone help with a question? If you want to have fresh from the oven rolls but don't have time to do the whole receipe, can you do to a certain stage then put in fridge/freezer and bake later? E.g I am out from 3 to 6 today but want hot rolls with dinner so can I prepare to stage 2, put in fridge before I go out then put them in the oven when I get back?

Do you think that quantity would fit in the TM? By my calcs it is about 9 cups which is more than 2 litres. Might need to split in two?

If you roll the shortbread in demerara sugar before you slice & bake it, it is extra yummy (I should know -I'm scottish!!)

My weight watchers journey is on hold at present - had my TM about 4 weeks now and have put on about 3 kilos! Not just TM to be fair I was on holiday just before I got it. I think the novelty of making a cake in one minute is starting to wear off and I am trying to focus on making more main meals with it. Sadly though there don't seem to be many WW recipes converted - must have a look at some of my favourites and see what I can do.

Hi, I am a new TM owner and basically tried to do too much this afternoon before school pickup - lemon cake, brownies, stock! So in rushing I forgot to put the onion in the stock - do you think it will matter?

Hi Anne I am trying to follow weight watchers and bought my thermomix just over a weeek ago. So far it has not been good for the waistline but that is my fault making too many goodies. I am putting things straight into the freezer now! I reckon once you have the machine and get to know it you will be able to adapt most recipes. I made one from the WW magazine last week that had a white sauce so I just put the ingredients in in the same order as the TM recipe book white sauce. It turned out fine. Perhaps we could swap some conversions!

Wow - what a great recipe - I am a novice owner and these turned out perfectly. just like I had bought a fresh batch from Bakers Delight. The kids are going to devour these when they get home!! Thanks

Hi Jaz, I am exactly the same! Got mine on Saturday and have hardly been out of the kitchen. Kids went to school with homemade quiche for lunch today, making cheese & bacon rolls for tomorrow. Everything I have made has turned out well apart from chocolate mousse - the egg white didn'twhip up properly so it was runny - but tasted delish anyway!! I can't believe how easy it is to bake a cake - throw everthing in for one minute then it is ready to go in the oven!! Just need to see if I can do some main meals in it rather than all this fattening stuff! What have you made so far Jaz and has it all been successfull?

If you are not keen on shop bought sausage meat - buy good quality sausages and take the skins off - apparantly that is what Jamie Oliver does! I think the meat content would be higher than basic sausage meat.
