Mine would have to be when my oldest son was about 3, we went grocery shopping in Woolworths and he shouted out at the top of his lungs "Mummy there is a chocolate person here!!" It was when those Cadbury ads were all over TV with the chocolate people.... I felt really embarrassed but the Sudanese man just smiled at me.

It will save you a lot of money and you will become spoilt for the taste of good food. We are always here if you have any questions. No he didn't. I was googling recipes and stumbled across the forum Welcome to the forum Rachel Hahaha I wish I could keep it! Maybe I can save up enough money to get my own in the year he is gone... maybe lol Thanks for the warm welcome 10

Yes I have seen the machines in action before and used them myself as well, so I have a fair idea of what I am doing
It's funny you should suggest a carbonara, we actually just finished eating it for dinner (just regular stove top made carbonara though). Umm I don't think either of them are members here, I have told my sister about it though and suggested she join up too but she is very busy at the moment with a new baby 11

My name is Rachel and I am fairly new to the Thermomix. My mother-in-law has one and has had it for quite a few years, my sister also has one and has had hers for about a year now. My brother-in-law is heading overseas for about a year and has been kind enough to leave his Thermomix with me I have wanted one for so long but being a single mother of 2 it's hard to come up with such a large amount of money(I am aware there are other options but they don't suit me at the moment either).
So I have only had the Thermomix for a week and I haven't even used it yet (I know, it's a crime!) but I haven't had the time to sit down and look at the recipe books yet. I am a meal planner and I usually plan a fortnight at a time so I will need to have a good look around for ideas on here. Hope to get some great ideas from you all
