The mixture is really runny so it would be easy for you to swirl if you wanted to

If making these with gluten free plain flour as I do definitely make them straight away- they seem to hold together better than leaving the batter- if I make them with normal flour then I do let the batter rest for 30min as suggested in the recipe. My family have tried them with GF and normal flour (obviously I can't compare the two) but I am told that there seems to be no difference in taste between the different flours.

Success, have made 5 pancakes.
Now I dobt know what to do with them. I ate one with lemon & sugar.
Googled you can freeze them with baking paper in between.
How can I do pikelets now as that is my goal? Just mastered them now, on a roll. Wow the difference in the batter surprised me, ancakes very runny, pikelets thick

Nice looking crepes/pancakes Hally. I love thin crepes for filling with savoury ingredients, not so fond of thick pancakes.

Whats your fav, will google.
Jst had a quick google, quesadella style or pie fillings sound good. Thanks JD, not for desert now, much better use

Seafood crepes are my favourites but I know you can't eat seafood so I suggest
Honey Mustard Chicken
. Delicious and DH thought it was seafood
