GP,  I also recommend the carry bag.  if you are going  to travel with it .  It is so easy to pack it and its bit in.

GP I have become very protective of my Thermothingy since it had to be expensively repaired after it was ruined by cockroaches  getting  in and frying on the circuit board. It now lives in a ring of death surrounded by a moat of  roach  cream and baits. Someone here also suggested a night light so bought a very bright white  light I put on at night to deter any critters.

There are photos and the story for newbies in this thread.    http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=11489.150 No need to wade through all 11 pages but go to about reply #55 or around there to see what can happen.

And the very same thing happened to my DD but not so expensively.

Gert, I did read that thread, the whole 11 pages (I like to et the full picture)   ;D
How awful, this could happen to anyone of us from those disease carrying horrid things....we do have a few here from time to time plus ants
in fits and starts. I had a look underneath my TM, looks like vents under there for them to easily enter as well as the side ones.
I will be paying  closer attention, thanks for the info  :)
