I love bacon sandwiches too, between two bits of toast. Delicious and decadent.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

I've never had a plain bacon sandwich but I do like egg and bacon sandwiches on fresh bread, not toasted.  With sauce  ;D  I've eaten them hot or packed them up to take somewhere for lunch cold. Don't know how others have them.

Can eat them either way,  on fresh bread or toasted.  This little pig likes both.  It is essential to have very good bacon.   Some like mustard on the bread others not.  The day I left a very sick DH at hospital,  I went into a very posh cafe and asked if I could have bacon and toast.  This I made into a bacon sandwich.  It was sooooo good that I asked whose bacon it was,  and it was Istra Bacon.  They are a small family business not far from us at Cherokee. We know the family well and I suspected it was their bacon. The 'sour dough bread'. That came with it wasn't sour dough,  but this was ok. The bacon should be cooked crispy but not over done.
Try it.  Don't blame me if you become addicted.

Wonder,  I was speaking to a man at the Flemington Farmers Market and he said they were smoking pumpkin seeds and when ground,  they tasted just like bacon.
