Glad to see I haven't been put into exile after my comment ;)

There are some really good children's cookery books out there, the wipe clean recipe cards are the best. I cannot be bothered to buy the mini baking pans because my step-children inhale any cakes that they bake ;D and little, dinky cake pans are totally useless in their case.

no nothing mini here either except the kids play kitchen which they totally adore when we are not having a cooking day - which is where I WAS thinking of the baby TMX.

No exile lol....at least know what they are worth now and can stop dreaming and really start thinking about christmas shopping lol

lol sorry, I become bit of a fanatic, we are one of those whose house is visible from the moon at Christmas although I don't like the count downs to start too early as that does scare me, just let me potter along with my shopping and planning thinking I still have plenty of time and then I will hit panic stations...oh about mid November  :-)) :-))

Viv - don't stress about being banned for your comments.  I would encourage kids to cook with the Thermomix

Dani at Kitchen Playground http://www.thekitchenplayground.com/2008/handing-the-kitchen-to-the-ankle-biters/ and Karen at brazen's culinary adventures http://brazen20au.blogspot.com/2008/10/thermomix-review.html (Sorry Karen-can't quickly find the right posts) both have the kids using it and mam_bel does too http://belcooks.blogspot.com/2009/08/cooking-with-kids.html

So, yeah - spend it on real kitchen implements.

Yep first thing I did was teach the teens how to use it and I recommend to all my customers to teach their kids  ;D ;D Mr 4 and Miss 2 are in the throws of learning now. I have always had kids on chairs etc in the kitchen. Mr 4 is very good at making knot rolls lol. They have progressed now and are allowed to touch the TMX buttons under supervision.  ;)
